I had it for a week it stopped working doesn't power on, and doesn't charge. I put in a request to switch it out. UPDATE ... After an exchange, the replacement works great

I ordered my RG35XX over a week ago and received it last week. I had been watching videos and reading reviews and felt like it would be perfect for me. I grew up on NES, Game Boy, and SNES, and really only needed something that could do those consoles, but liked to have flexibility to go up to other systems like Dreamcast and Playstation. Initial reviews of the RG35XX were mixed; the stock firmware was choppy and had several QoL features missing (suspend/resume and a robust configuration option). I ordered when I saw that a new firmware, GarlicOS, was released and was having lots of positive reviews. I played the RG35XX for a couple of hours on stock firmware but decided I would really just want to get GarlicOS running.I'm glad I did! Garlic works great on the system and it's really easy to navigate and use. The form factor of the device is just perfect for me. I got the one stylized like the original Game Boy and it feels really great, very close to the original. It's smaller in the hands with a bigger screen, but it's not TOO small like the Miyoo Mini (in my opinion) nor too bulky. It's portable enough to take with you in a case, throw it in a bag, etc., and the battery life is decent. Because it has trigger buttons, it can play the newer generation games, but I've been having too much fun playing NES and Game Boy games to need them. But they are very comfortable to use.I strongly recommend this to anyone looking to see what all the fuss is about for retro handhelds. This has an easy entry into the market, isn't terribly expensive, but has good build quality and style, and enough performance to play anything a child of the 80s and 90s would want.

Fun and awesome handheld, haven't had any issues with it's os. 2 complaints however. 1 the games included did not include a single Mario or Mario related game and 2. I ordered the one with an extra external SD and it did have games pre downloaded but it was every game on the internal drive copy and pasted to the external. So if you get the extra card thinking you'll get extra and diff games you won't..Overall awesome device tho

I don’t normally leave reviews but this thing has brought me so much joy in just one week I felt compelled.First off you gotta go in the settings and swap the OS over to Garlic but its easy and doesn’t require any modding.After that the game selection is great but its also super easy to just load your own roms onto the MicroSD card (mostly mario games are missing)Plays Arcade, Playstation, GBA, SNES and anything older so well, its amazing, and the save states are super easy to use. Can’t sing the praises enough, and it’s so cheap, just buy it, you’ll thank yourself later

I upgraded the OS using YouTube vids and added my own files . Good battery great screen. Feels like a excellent gameboy replacement.

Used one for a month and liked it so much I got 4 more for gifts to others.The default operating system comes with lots of games and is intuitive to use. I installed Garlic OS to run games at faster than stock speeds.

Easy to play with it!

Sent one back that would not charge at all. Second one OK first charge, subsequent charges give it a 5 min life yet reports battery 100%.
