Rather than calling a plumber, I took a look at YouTube and figured I'd try to fix my broken switch myself. With this mew switch, I had the disposal up and running in minutes. Hint: run the hose up through the counter, plug it in and run the tightening nut onto the hose. Tie a big knot at the end of the hose and drop the switch (with hose) back down the countertop. With the nut on the hose, it is easy to run it up the hose and screw it onto the switch.

Este interruptor me lo instalaron para accionar el triturador. Como trabaja con aire previene que no haya accidentes como sería el caso de utilizar un interruptor con corriente eléctrica directa que siempre se corre el riesgo de que le penetre agua con el consabido riesgo.

Installed for over a month and works great. Similar item was 3x the price at Home Depot. Super easy to install, low profile, dummy proof. That last part was more for my benefit

We replaced our under-counter garbage disposal switch with this air switch that now resides where our former built-in soap dispenser was located. The air switch is great, and works well and is easy to access. My only wish is that the matte black were more of a matte finish. Maybe because it's plastic, but it has a shine to it that's not polished but not quite matte either.
