Harmony House Foods Freeze-Dried Mushroom Dices (1.5 oz, Quart Size Jar)

Dehydrated products work good for me because it's just me and my dog and I just need what I need and when is dehydrated I can just have it right there and I like that I have all kinds of dehydrated stuff I use mother earth mostly but these these were okay they were just as good as others and some are just different types of mushrooms when you're looking at what you buy but those were good for me you know they soften up when you cook them like I did put some on pizza and use it it's not as a good because they don't get it soft you might would want to put them in some water you know soften it up a little bit and then put them on a pizza but I did that anyway it still wasn't too bad but I don't mostly want to use the dehydrated on the pizza but yeah I used to hydrated stuff and these these were good they were good I got some different ones now they're different mushroom too inside but yeah if you like the hydrated stuff and you just want to throw it in your spaghetti or whatever you're making that kind of way they're awesome thank you

Obligatory statement about my disbelief that I'm reviewing mushrooms. Anyway, I've been looking for dried mushrooms for at least 10 years!!! We used to get a similar product at the warehouse club store, but they quit carrying them.Dried mushrooms are fabulous for adding to soups and sauces. Ever put mushrooms in chili? Yummy!!!These are so economical, easy to store in one small container, and think about it...no heavy metal cans full of liquid that need to be shipped around the country, schlepped home, and then stored.These are grown in USA and have a mild umami flavor.We had found some dried mushrooms at a foreign food store, but they had the consistency of beef jerky, and we weren't even sure how to prepare them because the package wasn't in English.You'll be really happy with these mushrooms, and I hope lots of people buy them, because I want them to remain available!

These little mushroom dices are perfect for enhancing gravies, stews, and my favorite: home made cream of mushroom soup. No washing or chopping, just pour out how much you want, and add to your cream soup mix and there you have it. This will definitely be a regular re-order.

I love the ease of these mushrooms. I put them in the melting butter to absorb flavor and add my dried garlic and egg beaters. Excellent breakfast and for salads, meats....just know they will absorb any liquids and keep that flavor so plan your liquids. Excellent pantry item but I add to nearly everything so its a counter item for me!!

Obviously (?) this is meant to be a good product, but it’s one of the most unsettling I’ve ever purchased. There’s a FDA type label but other than that… not the slightest hint of what to do with these things. Should rehydrate them? (Probably, and I did.).For all practical purposes, it feels almost like I bought a bottle of wood chips.
