ROME Industries 1605 Double Pie Iron with Steel and Wood Handles, Gray

Brilliant device. Packaging was excellent, good clear instruction how to season the cast iron. First use it worked a charm, just a fun accessory to any outdoor cooking. As mentioned it is heavy, it's not for back packing. Solidly built and does the job perfectly. Be warned on first inspection it looks a little weird, the surface is coated in a protective wax to prevent rusting until you season it. Boiling water took care of this, then it was on to seasoning. Probably the best thing I have bought in ages.

No separator in the middle so the filling just oozes out between 2 slices of bread. A double pie iron should have cavities that crimp a pie all round the edges of 2 regular slices of bread x 2

What can I say? Delivered perfect toasties on a recent very wet Lakes camping trip that lifted the spirits tremendously. Lots more recipes to explore.
