The "pucks" do absolutely nothing to melt snow and ice that dam up against my gutters. I might as well be throwing cash on top of the roof. That would be about as effective. I tossed up to ten at a time in a close pattern with absolutely no effect. They simply disappear in the snow on the roof. Many pucks were already ground to powder just in shipping...and this stuff isn't cheap.
