Classic Deckel Retro Dot 800 ml

We’ve been using these bottles for years. I just lost mine and needed to replace it. Usually you might just need to buy in a new cap every couple of years, depending on use or if your child is a chewer. They’re durable, easy to carry, easy to drink from. Especially the sports cap- you can have a good guzzle if needed.

Was in the market for a metal water bottle and a friend recommended the Klean Kanteen range. Surprisingly light in weight, lovely retro design with a matte finish, it does everything that it says on the tin or bottle, so to speak. I will be using it for everyday use such as work and the gym however it does note that it isn’t leakproof so I probably won’t use it for cycling however I can see that they sell various leakproof nozzles, so will purchase one for that. I have deducted a star due to the packaging it came in, a plastic bag and bubble wrap, considering the company are marketing themselves as eco friendly yet not a consideration when shipping the items. I’m assuming that there’s no packaging at all if you were to buy this in a bricks & mortar store but shipping packaging considerations should also be taken into account.

I was struggling to find a water bottle for heated yoga - I needed something compact (and cute!) but most importantly, to be effortless in taking sips from when transitioning positions or when I only have a few moments in child’s pose. Screwing caps on and off always takes so much time when you’re not exactly given water breaks - but alas I found this bottle with a sport top! Technically, if I left the top “open” (which I do) and accidentally kicked it during practice, it would spill, so it’s not leak proof, but if I have enough focus to not tip it over, it works beautifully.

The bottle is nice looking and seems well made. It is good that they use 90% recycled steel. Would give it 5 stars if it was made in the west instead of China, reducing the transport emissions and promoting the local economy. Seeing that “Made in China” label at the bottom of the bottle was dissapointing since it is a company that appears to have pride in its sustainability. Good bottle though.

Nach langer Suche habe ich endlich die passende Flasche für mich gefunden. Robust… Nicht zu groß, nicht zu klein. Farbe perfekt. Nur den Deckel habe ich ausgetauscht.

This is now my 5th Klean Kanteen. They are good quality. We use them so we can avoid using plastic bottles.
