I wasn’t sure what to expect as this was my first time using a ‘metallic’ paint & the reviews for most are either negative altogether or very mixed opinions. The reviews for this brand were mostly positive & the price is fair so I decided this was the one I’d try & went with the ‘True Gold’, after reading the reviews of pretty much every other metallic gold paint from $2 to $20. I purchased it initially to paint the radiator in my bedroom which was an old ugly silver. This paint goes a long way! It glides on very smooth & to me is just the right consistency, not too thick but not at all thin. I did 3 coats on the radiator & still had nearly half a bottle left. I decided to add a fourth coat just because I could. Although the radiator is still pretty ugly it now blends in with my decor. After that I painted a black leather jewelry box that I’ve long felt was an eye sore but I needed the storage it provides. Now it’s a beautiful shinny gold & matches the rest of my room. I finished off the paint on the jewelry box & just order a second bottle to do one more coat so it looks more even. After that I’m going to paint the legs of my bed frame & the silver metal pins of my headboard. I’ll add more pics once I do & update if I have a change of heart about this paint. I’m sure there might be better options out there but based on the research I did most gold paints look like this, some are a lighter or darker gold or more yellow but if you want a true metallic finish you have to do gold foil. As you can see in my photos this paint has more of a shine on the jewelry box which was black leather (knobs we’re already gold) compared to the radiator so different surfaces will give different results. I highly recommend this if you want gold paint!

I bought this to be true gold and it is. The consistency is good for 3 light coats.

I bought the True Gold Paint and it's a bit brownish with a shine. I then bought a 3$ Gold paint at Walmart and it was way better, much brighter, smoother, and more metallic. Buy this paint at local Walmart instead of here. With 8$ you can buy 3 different paints.

I mistook this paint for more of a yellow or deeper gold/gold color, rather than reading the informational more carefully. This color is more like the real color of a gold nugget, not what is averagely considered "Gold" The color is quite striking, if you want to paint something to look like a nugget of gold. The paint texture isn't thick, and can get a little runny if applied in a large amount. Drying time is what you'd expect and the paint covers lighter colors well (white, etc.) with one coat. I gave this a 3 rating in that the informational on the product (it states "true gold") could be a little more emphatic that this color ISN'T the gold most people associate with, but it is a beautiful color of the nugget-type gold. I goofed, perhaps you won't have to.

I had an old dress form that was stained. Decided to paint. This went on so easy f with one coat covered stain & looks incredible.

This is the second time I bought and used this metallic gold fabric paint to hand paint black cotton scarves I create. It doesnt dry out in the jar. I paint intricate designs with a very fine brush. It works perfectly! It doesnt stiffen the cotton after 2 coats. And its a very beautiful gold color. Ive hand washed the scarves And the paunt hasnt chipped or dissolved. I can’t wait to use their silver fabric paint

Applied with a brush, very pigmented and provides good coverage. On dark fabric you may need 2 coats. Does what it needs to do for a good price.You get 66.54ml and a little goes a long way.As long as you can use paint this will be easy to use.It does smell a little fishy, but it doesnt linger on the fabric and it isnt too strong.
