Smiffys 1970s Dancing Dream Costume, Pink, M - UK Size 12-14

I had to send it back for a bigger size because they come up very small. There’s no stretch and all the stitching on the seams had come out by the end of the night. It was very hot and clingy but I got lots of compliments because it looked fab. Definitely a one wear thing

I brought the pink version of this. I'm a size 10-12 and 5'3" and got a medium. I think I may have just got lucky but it fitted perfectly. I did have platform boots on too. If you're careful you can probably get more than one use out of it. Also the cord at the front is a bit thin so you might want to use your own lace/cord to secure this part. I'd definitely recommend it though. I got a lot of comments!!

Felt it will crack and fall apart if I sit down

This looked really good. A bit flimsy but expected it to be so. Too short in the leg - possibly suitable for someone 5’4” or shorter and size 6-8

Great looking costume but unfortunately I’m unhappy with this product and would like to make a complaint due to the fact that after only one wear (with no strenuous stretching or hard wear out of it, simply sitting down) the seams have completely come away on the back and down towards the groin area and torn. This has not only happened to this particular purchase but also my partner’s costume as well. Both were wearing the correct sizes with no tightness in any particular area, so the quality is poor for it to tear after one use on both costumes. If someone could get in touch that would be great.

Volunteered all night for charity needing to be bright so these outfits did the job and caused some amusement plus lots of plays of Dancing Queen! Quite thin so got a bit cold and the stitching was given a run for it’s money, plus the need to get undressed for loo visits but they held out fine and I look forward to wearing mine again.

This outfit is much better than I thought it was going to be! After reading the reviews - I wasn't expecting much. However, I was pleasantly surprised. It was packaged well with tissue paper in between the outfit at all stages (meaning the material does not stick together). It fit perfectly. I am 5 foot 1 and a size 8-10 and the small was perfect in length (with heels) and size. It is a pain going to the loo as you have to pull it all down. The string to tie up the outfit at the front is not very strong and does move - which is a little bit of a pain as you can reveal more than intended. It was perfect for the fancy dress evening and I would recommend it to anyone.

Really lovely product, however if you are over 5ft 8 you should not buy this! I am6ft and a size 16-18 and it was a bit snug on the legs and it did not fit my body as I am too tall for it!I gave it to a friend who is a size 12-14 and 5ft8 and it fit her perfectly
