Great book was a great read

Very moving account of a young boy's tragic abrupt end to childhood. Broke my heart to think of all he suffered to survive. Everyone should read this, it's imperative that we don't forget and we should bear witness to the individuals who managed to survive at all costs to share their stories in honor of themselves and all those who perished. Thank you Moshe for sharing your experience.

I came across this book by chance and I'm so glad I did. Like the majority of people I have heard of the atrocities Jewish people endured during WW2, but nothing as informative as this first hand, personal account. The admiration and respect I hold for the tenacity and character of this man's sheer determination to endure and survive at all cost is boundless. This is a must read for all.

I bought this as a gift for my wife as it was on her Amazon Wish List. I cannot comment on the read itself but the book was the usual good Amazon value, excellent condition and fast delivery.

This was a well written book with vivid descriptions written in first person. A piece of history that should be NOT be forgotten because it seems this history is on the brink of being repeated

I was surprised by how this book was written. I thought it was going to be more of a story with dialogue and development, however, most of the book is written in a way that you feel like the events are being narrated to you by a survivor. It's so well done, but it took me about a week to get through it. I'm quite a fast reader, but in this case, I could only read so much at a time. The subject material is heavy and dark and it forced me to slow down and absorb the impact of it through the eyes of someone who was actually there. I 100% recommend this read!
