We use this in our condo apartment with a different unit in our bedroom. The Levoit works extremely well, keeping the apartment at a comfortable humidity level. My goal was to keep the apartment in the 40% range. We only use it in the auto mode, and I initially set the unit to 45%, but its humidity monitor reads lower than our stand-alone temp/humidity monitors. It would run constantly even though the other monitors were reading 45%. So I decided to decrease the target humidity, but you can only go in 5% increments using the on-device controls, and 40% was a bit too low. So I did install the Vesync app, which allows you to set any level you want. Our sweet spot is 43%. The app is easy to use and connects immediately to the unit, although I still think it’s ridiculous to have a “smart” humidifier, but to gradually adjust your humidity level in less than 5% increments, you will need the app.Cleaning is much easier than with past humidifiers I’ve had. I use one of those little fish-shaped floating cleaner things that many use in their aquariums, as well as humidifiers. They do a very good job, and so far, my routine is to rinse the unit out weekly and wipe all surfaces with a water and vinegar solution; we’ve had no mold or fungal growth. The unit we use in our bedroom is a Dreo, which also works very well, and it’s also set to 43%, which is our sweet spot. The Levoit is the quieter of the two and would not disturb anyone even if it’s at your bedside. This is a very well-made and good-looking device which I highly recommend.

We just finished our 3rd year of using this and it is by far the best humidifier we have ever purchased. In fact, we purchased another one that same year for our sons room and then last year a smaller Levoit for our daughters room (much smaller space). Please note that due to heavy minerals in our well water we have always used these using only distilled water. This year we changed to using RO water because we had a unit installed in our home last year and now we don’t have to purchase Distilled water. In my experience all humidifiers will output white dust unless we use mineral free water. Both the distilled and our now home installed drinking water system makes this unit run flawlessly with very little need for cleaning during the winter months.We love the WiFi capacity with these units as it is convenient for our family. We set each unit up with programs to come on 2 hrs before bedtime and stop running 30 minutes before typical wake up times. We can set the desired humidity levels and forget about it.I mentioned that with using distilled or RO water these stay super clean thought out the winter but the great thing is that when you do need to clean these, it is very easy compared to all other units we have ever had (and we’ve had many with varying brands). Just about everything comes off for ease of cleaning.We do not use the little port for essential oils so I cannot comment on that aspect of the units.So far these seem like they will be holding up much better than other brands so although they are a bit more $ I feel like we are getting a good value based on what durability is thus far.

Easy to fill, easy to clean, easy to use. I love that it automatically maintains the humidity level you choose. It's quiet and does the job! The large tank means I'm only refilling it a couple times a week. I connected it to my Alexa routines so that it comes on in morning and shuts off at bedtime.

It works with Home Assisstant. The setup is about as easy as most other smart devices.I have two of these. One is for my aeroponic system and the other for the hallway adjacent to the bedrooms. They can be programmed to stop when humidity levels reach a certain point and the app has 9 levels of mist. On a full tank, you can expect it to go for several days on the 3 setting in the app (level 1 on the device) or about a day on the max settings. For plants, i can turn it on when the grow lights come on and turn off when they go off. This keeps humidity at 60% and prevents too much or too little moisture.For the home, it's okay, but not good enough for a whole level of a house. I can get humity to 45% on max settings, which is nice with the heater running, but that's about it. I dont think it covers 1k sqft.The mist is not nearly as much as some cheaper brands, so i gave it 4 stats instead of 5, but it's good enough.This company has good support. I bought an air purifier from the same brand and it had noise after a few months. I called the manufacturer, and they sent me a new unit. The support is also US based, so they speak English well and are friendly.

Works as it should and especially quiet. Easy to clean. Wow, what a well designed and made product. I don't use the app or WIFI connection. I simply add water each day and let it run. One full tank will last 24 hours. I fill it each night before bed.

Very good brand and humidifier. Our place was dry during the winter, so we purchased this humidifier. So good. It’s got a 6L tank, big enough to last a few days depending on usage. Smart settings are cool. Spray covers a large area. Cleaning is easy. Soak in water and white vinegar, wash with dishsoap, rinse, and let dry. Smart settings remind you when it’s time to clean it. Very good. Easy setup. Not noisy at all.

Changed mine & my dog’s health. No more itchies. Be sure to follow the directions & used distilled water. It’s no joke. In less than 2 weeks everything will be covered in white dust. I bought a stove top distiller. Upside: the distiller humidifies while you’re distilling, the Levoit gets time off, be sure to ventilate with a kitchen hood fan. Downside: distilling takes a lot of time, it’s a double boiler type pot, mine holds 16 liters of water, 7 of which is boiling(distilling). Potentially dangerous & requires adult monitoring at all times. Not easy for busy families.Or distilled water by the gallon at the big box is still usually under $1.
