Ideal if used sparingly
The media could not be loaded. Taking heed of the blobby disasters many other reviewers experienced, I went in with an ultra-conservative approach and it paid off. Rather than dispensing the glue using the nozzle, I used a toothpick to take up the tiniest amount of glue to the edges and wiped away excess immediately. It dries a little silvery, as you can see in the photo, so applying just to the edge itself is the neatest way to do it if the seam will be visible.I had a couple of frayed threads starting in the corner of a welt pocket, which is why I bought this before sewing the other pockets (easier to seal the freshly cut edges!). Using the tiniest amount on the tip of the toothpick let me get into the corner to apply the glue to tuck in the threads whilst not getting any glue on the outside. The amount needed to do the job is so minuscule that I feel this bottle will last me the rest of my sewing life if it does’t go off first, so in that respect, it’s great value!I wish I’d bought this years ago!

Does the job but it's just PVA glue
Bought this to fix where my wool carpet has been snagged. Did the job but the glue does dry very hard so use sparingly. Only crit is that it's basically PVA glue which you can get 500ml for a fiver at DIY retailers.

Does the job
Keeps my Aida cloth edges perfect and unfrayed. Dries transparent when the excess is taken off as instructions say. Great product, would recommend.

Too thick to use on fine fabrics
Having spent a week hand embroidering a white satin dress, I needed something to stop it fraying round the neck and arms, and sent for this. It arrived overnight, which is great. However there are no instructions, unless you count the teeny tiny words on the bottle that require a strong magnifying glass to read them, and frankly are unhelpful. I began by shaking the bottle which had zero effect, then began squeezing a little out of the bottle onto the edge of the fabric. A huge wedge of thick gloop emerged onto the edge, and proceeded to drip down onto a part of the dress that I didn’t want marking. I then squeezed some on my finger and tried to gently attach it to the fraying fabric - but it was hit and miss - too thick in some places, too thin in others. Thirty minutes later it still hadn’t dried, and had dripped all over one place where I didn’t want it .Goodness knows if it will come out - but this is on a piece I’ve spent a week embroidering with silver thread. I tried dabbing it with tissue, but think it’s doubtful. Looks like I’ve wasted a week of hard work. I ‘ve used Fray Check very successfully in the past but this is nothing like it. Great for thick fabrics I guess, like carpet, but totally unsuitable for delicate fabrics. As you may imagine I’m really disappointed with this product.

Fabric fray glue
I bought some poor quality ribbon. This glue seems to stop it fraying. Hopefully if item is washed it will still stay secure.
