151 Fantastic Elastic Flexible Wateproof Glue

I see others moan about this product, but I suspect they are not applying it correctly or wearing their shoes too soon after. I used these on my favourite pair of boot trainers that are no longer available to buy new. I purchased this to glue the outer rear sole to the base and also the front of the sole back to the front of the boot. The gel is very thick and can be worked into surfaces. I applied to surfaces working the gel into them and then re-separating adding a bit more gel and then whilst watching TV for 30 mins holding the shoe in my hand applying pressure to the surfaces every now and then. I then left the boot trainer on my radiator for 12 hours before trying on and the flexi-glue has worked, holding and flexing with the surfaces and not separating. I added a nice pair of new laces I also purchased here on Amazon and a pair of new insoles, also buying here on Amazon. I cleaned up the suede with some suede cream cleaner and now my boots look good and should be good for another year. When I finished using the product I added a piece of plastic wrapper to the top of tube before screwing the cap back on as this product will dry out in about 3 months ( as stated on packaging ) and hopefully by reducing the micro air accessing the product via the screw on cap it may last longer ( I have had lots of success with other products by doing just this with the screw on cap or on lids of products)

Complete and utter waste of time and money. I purchased it to repair the split in my trainers and after wearing them twice after for a short amount of time, the "repair" was gone. It wasn't exactly the easiest of products to apply either. It's adhesion was OK but even after leaving its dry time well after the recommendation, it was really sticky to touch. And the worst part was, when attempting a second repair, the product had gone off in the tube and was solid. So value for money was non existent. Its the life long lesson of you get what you pay for. I'd avoid this product like Trump avoids being told to leave the white house.

Great value and really does a brilliant job. However, this is the second tube I have purchased and I can only use half a tube before the remainder goes hard. I have no idea why this happens as the lower half of the tube goes off and is totally unusable. Once is bad luck, twice is not good.

The problem: foam rubber garden shoes with annoying holes in the soles which keep filling with soles. Silicon fillers just feel out. The solution: oddly, Fantastic Elastic glue! Since this is a gel glue, I thought I'd try it out to see if it would also work as a filler. As you can see from the photos, it filled the quite large holes in the soles and didn't shrink or crack. More importantly, after walking around the garden and on the gravel, it hasn't taken out. Yes, strictly speaking it's a glue, but you can definitely also use as a durable flexible filler.

It seems to stick ok but for shoe repairs it doesn't last long and soon fails. I can't recommend it for anything that is used in a challenging environment of flexing and exposure to damp but it might work for some tasks.

Sadly not suitable. Adhesive failed to bond with the shoe sole material despite cleaning with alhohol and lightly sanding to rough the contact area. Adhesive then cured and hardened inside the tube within 24 hours despite the cap being tight.

While this arrived quick and would be perfect in theory. It did not hold up on the braille binder/book cover as I had hoped. I think what I have needs to be melted together and I am too chicken to try it.
