Absolute Women's Plastic Chest Protector XS ~ XL [Misc.]

I've been fencing for 18.5 years and in that time, this is my third purchase of a chest protector. The first one I ever bought lasted probably 15 years. The bra-style clasp in the back eventually rusted into pieces. The second one that I bought looks very similar to this product and cracked at the top, through one of the strap holes after only 2-3 years of use. I can't remember where I had bought either of those chest protectors. I needed a new one, so this looked like a reasonable choice.I'm happy with my purchase at this point. I've worn the product to practice twice. I fence sabre. I've felt no discomfort while taking a lesson or bouting. This one even fits me better than my last one. I ordered a size S. My bra size is 34A or 34B. The straps are standard elastic ones like I seen on most fencing equipment.The only concern that I have for the durability at this point is that the clasp in the back is not a clasp. Rather, it's velcro. I have always had trouble with the velcro on my jacket, knickers, and lame. It wears out. This is pretty nice velcro, but I'm still worried about how it will hold up.

I don't ever write reviews, but this product is GREAT!! I recently joined a martial arts school, during sparring I got hit in the chest twice and ended up bruised for about two weeks. I ordered this chest protector a medium (I'm a 34C) unfortunately a medium was too big so I had to return it. I reordered a small and got it within 24 hours!! It fit perfect! It Doesn't move around, doesn't cut into your skin, the Velcro doesn't pop, and it definitely protects your chest!

I bought this chest protector because my fencing club only had massive ones, and I wanted one that actually fit. It fits very well and is a good-quality product--but note that the shipping is $9 to ship a light-weight, small item.It arrived in a timely fashion and I was very pleased with everything about it, but the price is a little high.

Impacts to the breast tissue are known to be a cause of Breast Cancer. This protector does the job great, solid, covers the side breast tissue and is comfortable to wear - Highly recommended. Only change I would recommend would be using bra clasps on the back rather than velcro that will wear out.

A good over-bra chest protector. It is comfortable, as much as possible with a chest protector anyway. Absolute Fencing Gear had great customer service.

I did buy this for fencing and it fits well, especially since it has adjustable straps. I later spray painted it black and made it look like armor for a costume.
