I accidentally ordered this instead of the clear one, which I use in my shop regularly. I love the clear version, this version, is crap. I wonder if it’s even real authentic Dermshield or a cheap ripoff. The consistency, the application and the feel of it is completely different. It sticks to itself much more easily, the last layer to remove usually has a bit more substance to it so you can hold it easier and apply it easier and then remove that layer easier because there is something to grab. Not the case with this one. It’s very difficult to get that final layer off. It’s very easy to accidentally tear and I hate that it’s black! I plan to buy the good stuff and keep this as a back up for emergencies when I run out of the other. I do not recommend it at all. I do, however, highly recommend the other version of Dermshield that is clear.

Adhesive is poor/won't stick and the film is not like the other stuff...and I dont know why the black doesn't work...but the clear derma does

I bought this thinking it would be helpful in sunny areas for a tattoo - I’ve used the regular shield and second skin but this one blew. Didn’t even have a chance to test it in the sun because it shredded as I was sleeping and leaked plasma everywhere. Waste of time don’t waste your money.

Way too hard to work with to start. Feels like a cheap garbage bag and immediately clings to itself when trying to apply. The clear recovery derm shield is 1000x’s better than this black shield, along with saniderm brand. Client complaints went from the shield not sticking nearly as well, literally falling off an hour later, to an uncomfortable rash around the corners. (I know it’s the adhesive but for some reason the black is far more common, don’t know why or how, just seems to be so). Buy the clear shield. 100% buy the clear…

Not even stretched and keeps ripping. I’ve patched and it rips through the patch. Not worth the money. Use Sani Derm, it doesn’t rip or cause fluid to leak through your clothes. Wish I could give zero stars.

Let me preface this by saying I LOVE dermshield. Dermshield black is thing clingy garbage get the OG clear flavor

Why would anyone ever use this? So difficult to apply. Looks like a garbage bag and there is not good adhesive. I’m pissed!
