The VVT sprockets apparently are not working properly. It is setting a check engine light and we are trying to figure out if we need to put new VVT sprockets on. Big job and no fun to do twice.

This kit is not for California vehicles. The exhaust cam gear is for federal vehicles. Timing chain tensioner was also defective. Intake cam gear came in locked position but was fairly easy to unlock with blow gun. Ended up spending another $200 for correct California emission exhaust cam gear. And another $50 for timing chain tensioner. Had to do job twice.

Products were good but I was missing the gasket for the tensioner and other gaskets. If only it came with the gaskets and a silicone I would of given it 5 stars

I wrongly posted that this was a bad product. It started knocking again after less than 2 yrs. Please accept my apology. It was knocking because the oil control solenoids were faulty. I replaced them and the knock which I thought were the new VVT assembly acting up went away.

I bought this product because I looked at the timing chain was closed to original on the picture, but after I received it and realized that the chain is inferior quality, I will end up using my old chain, because I don't trust this quality..
