It worked well for my cat! I work for a vet office (I’m a vet tech) and knew I can buy proviable on Amazon—I had forgotten about the paste until I saw it in ‘Related Items’ section. Where I work, normally, we just prescribe the capsules, so I had forgotten the paste existed. I just mixed the paste and sprinkled the capsule in with Hills i/d (Digestive Care) canned pate or stew that I started him on as soon as he got his first bout of diarrhea. We’ve been on the i/d since Tuesday and the paste and capsules since yesterday morning and I took an X-ray (I brought him with me to work on Saturday) and we could see he had formed stool going through, he hasn’t defecated yet, so I’m not 100% certain his diarrhea has cleared up, but I’m 99.9999% sure it’s cleared up. My kitty is an 8 year old MN Domestic Shorthair and he didn’t seem to mind the taste of it mixed in with his food. I think this kit is a great value for the $22 it currently costs.

It's starting to work, day 2!! My cat has had liquidy diarrhea 4 times daily for over a week now. I had put him on Purina FortiFlora for his diarrhea & that did absolutely nothing to help him. He actually got worse!So I ordered this Proviable kit which came yesterday. The Paste part of this kit is already starting to thicken his liquidy stool a bit! It took a friend to help me get the 1st pasty dose in him, fighting him all the way. I hate fighting my cat to give him meds when he is already feeling sick & I just SOLVED THAT FIGHT TO get THE PASTY STUFF IN HIS MOUTH!!! It worked! I got Chicken & Gravy Baby Food & mixed the paste into some of that! He loves it! Next I'll try sprinkling the capsule into it too & see if he still loves it. Right now he just loves the paste in the baby food & licks it down like a treat! Just be sure the baby food you get has no other added ingredients...just chicken & gravy. Will let yóu know when his poop is again solid!

A few weeks ago my cat was having diarrhea, so I took her to the vet and they recommended I give her Proviable for a week to see if it helped. After having used it as instructed, giving my cat the paste for five days and the capsules for ten days, I found that this stuff really works. My cats diarrhea cleared up and she is back to normal. But giving her the paste was not easy and I had to use a creative method to get her to eat it.The package consists of a 15 mL syringe containing a paste version of the probiotic along with 10 capsules of a powered version. The stated dosage is 1 mL of the paste twice to three times a day, and one capsule per day until the whole package is finished. The syringe allows for relatively easy dispensing of the paste through the specially designed measuring system where you simply spin the plastic ring to the next notch, then push on the plunger to squeeze out the paste in 1 mL increments. The capsules easily break open to sprinkle the powder on food. Overall the system is designed for ease of administering, but in practice it was much more difficult to give the paste to my cat.On the advice of my vet and friends that have cats, I wrapped her in a blanket to immobilize her to make giving her the paste easy, but as I tried to insert the syringe in her mouth and squeeze the paste in, she shook her head from side to side and fought every move I made. My first attempt was an absolute failure resulting in a majority of the paste sticking to the fur on the sides of her mouth. Knowing this would be the likely outcome for every future attempt to give her the paste, I had to come up with a better solution.So rather than trying to force feed her the paste directly, I put some treats on a dish, squeezed the paste onto the treats and placed the dish in front of her. In less than a minute, she ate all the treats with the paste without any struggle, and this is how I gave her the paste for the remainder of the doses. If you are trying to give the paste to your cat and are having trouble, I suggest trying the method I used. The powder was easy as I simply sprinkled it onto wet food that I feed my cat once a day.If your cat is having mild diarrhea, I recommend trying Proviable. Of course, it is best to consult your vet before giving them probiotics as they may not work for everyone, but this is a great over-the-counter solution for minor stomach issues. And I found it to be $10 cheaper on Amazon than buying it from my vet.

A fellow dog rescuer suggested we try this for our older pup when she got diarrhea, so we ordered it and gave it to her at the next meal. It only took about 24-48 hours, and she was completely normal again. It worked so well that I told every dog parent I know!

This helped my kitten to get over his diarrhea which was cause by his antibiotic treatment. I give both of my kittens the capsules every day and there are no diarrhea problems anymore.The paste is really pretty hard to get out of the serringe (mine was not dried up though) and into their mouths especially because it doesn't seem to be very yummy. The top of the serringe is also very big so it was impossible for me to administer this into my little kittens' months.I just use the capsules by sprinkling the powder on their food. They seem to like it and never did that want to eat their food with the powder on it, even if they saw it.I do buy the capsules only now.

I bought this probiotic, after trying three others, none of which worked for one of my cats, a 15 lb kitty that has had horrible diarrhea for at least 4 to 6 months. I wasn't really hopeful, but I wanted to try to avoid taking the cat into the vet's office so I tried this product one last time. And to say I'm pleased is an understatement. The paste eliminated the diarrhea after about three or four days and I'm continuing with the capsules, mixed into his food, which doesn't affect the taste. He's eating just as much as he always did, without the diarrhea. The other thing I want to point out is the odor is now gone also, which is unbelievable. Highly recommend this great product!!
