This Herdwick wool pad sits in the flue above the fireplace, blocks that airflow, and the room warms up noticeably and holds its heat. - Wool felt stops the draught while still letting the chimney breathe, so it works on a disused fireplace without trapping damp or condensation behind it. It also keeps soot, dust and the odd stray bird out of the room. - Getting the size right is what makes it seal, and it's the usual reason for a return. Measure your opening front to back and side to side, then pick the size whose fit range matches. Round, square and oblong sizes are all covered. - It fits by hand in seconds, no tools, and sits neatly out of sight. Take it out before you light a fire, and the reminder tag hangs into the hearth so nobody forgets. Moth-proofed and reusable for years. It stores in the Chimney Sheep Wrap. - Made in Cumbria from British Herdwick fleece.
