I have 3 mini Goldendoodles who love the pool. They need to be dried so they don’t get matted and this dryer has been great. It’s quiet on the low speed setting and powerful on the high. I love the different temperature settings and how balanced and compact this is compared to a regular hair dryer. It feels solid and well made and looks good too. My dogs actually don’t mind me using this on them.

This dog hair dryer works so much better than I expected! It’s surprisingly powerful but not too loud, which is perfect because my dog usually hates dryers. It comes with different nozzle attachments that make drying faster and easier, especially for paws and thicker fur areas. It cut our drying time in half and left my pup’s coat soft and fluffy. Totally worth it if you’re looking for a grooming tool that actually makes things easier.

I wish I could give a 3.5 but this is a great dryer. It is easier to hold and does a good job for the size and price. However it claims to be on the quiet side but it still had my pup scared the first time we tried to use it. My pup has experience with several other dog dryers and had never reacted this way, but with some treat and training came around and was great when we went to the beach and could blow a bit of sand off before driving home!

I lost my mobile groomer to a high risk pregnancy. Couldn't find a replacement so went looking for tips on how to do it myself. Stumbled on this tool and thought I'd give it a try.....took me a month after receiving before I got the courage to dive in.I have a miniature poodle, 14 pounds. Below is our routine.A couple of days before cutting, I comb/brush well. Get out all tangles....not all at once since she hates it. Yes, I brush off and on in-between grooming but more intense right before grooming time.Got a good anti tangle dog shampoo meant for curly hair...found one on Amazon that works and smells great.Shower/shampoo....towel dry...let her run around the house.....I think all dogs do this after a bath.Found a good dog hair dryer here....don't dry too hot! I have mine on the lowest setting. At any rate, I don't cut right after shampoo/dry night so any areas that aren't dry will be the next day.The next day I comb/brush again. When I know all tangles are gone.....the cutting begins.1st day of cutting....I shave just her body including the rectal area.2nd day.....comb her legs again then cut....when she starts shaking, I stop. Give her a bit of a rest and we try again.3rd day....comb her ears and face then cut.I cut/shave her body the same length including the top of her head. I use a shorter attachment for round her nose and chin.(Sounds like a lot but if you spread the tasks over several days, it's not.....each step doesn't take long)I haven't tried anal expressing....her vet told me to come in any time when they are open for that task. Takes mere minutes.This machine makes it SO EASY!!!! The container that holds the clippings does have to be emptied a few times during the process so I have a little trash can next to the table for a quick empty. You truly will be amazed at how little of a mess you'll create! I did put a sheet on the table to catch hair expecting hair to fly around....trust me, the vacuum catches 99+%. I did put a clean bath mat/towel for stability. She slid around on the sheet and you want your pup stable.I highly recommend a grooming bar....the one pictured was also found here.The cost for good tools/accessories do add up but they are a one time purchase....a little over the cost of one mobile grooming visit. After that.....no more costs.No, the photo doesn't show a finished job....I took the picture the first time I tried using this product....after I had finished her body only to send to my kids.....hadn't done her legs, face, or head. I could tell she was getting stressed so stopped and left everything on the table for about three or four days till all was done. By the way, you can see hair in the vacuum's canister.Maybe you'll be able to do everything in one setting, if you can....lucky you! If you're like me....don't stress! Do a little each day over several days then....Voila!....you'll be proud.
