Does what it says perfectly
Read all the reviews on this and I’d agree that it’s a brilliant product….fixed my (really expensive) leaky le chameau boot perfectly….I’ve been walking with the dog every day and the fix so far appears to have worked perfectly. Just make sure that you follow the instructions and wait for the product to cure for 72 hours.

Wellie longevity
Oh, how I hate throwing out perfectly good wellies that fit and are comfortable because of a split. Now I don't have to.This stuff is literally like magic, and so far (3 months or so) holding out well. My split was about 2cm long at the usual outer toe crease place. I squeezed it into the crack itself first, let that cure, then covered the area as the instructions say. Always use something (I use a dental stick) to spread the glue because it has little bubbles in it and this action gets rid of them. You don't want a bubble through your waterproof layer after all.And you freeze it between uses. Make sure you squeeze the glue right up to the end and a bit beyond to ensure no air is trapped inside the cap when you replace it. I didn't do it well enough the first time, and the glue was definitely a bit thick and not as easy to use the second time. The third time, when I did it properly, it was like new. Well worth watching.I went for the three pack rather than the big tube as it goes quite a long way. Yes, they're little tubes, but use it before you complain about the size. I did loads with one tube - the wellie and multiple splits in 3 trainers as well as sealing where I'd glued on a sole that was coming away on another trainer. All successful. Will save you a bomb on leisure shoes.

An excellent Seam Grip alternative
I've purchased this a few times as an alternative to McNett Seam Grip, I find it a great option. Seam Grip has a few problems, notably, it's expensive, but also once opened don't expect the adhesive in the opened tube to stay fresh and uncured for that long. Yes it will for a couple of weeks but several months then generally forget it, you'll need to throw the tube away. This Stormsure adhesive is no different in that respect, but the fact that it's considerably cheaper and also that you get 3 small sealed tubes means that when you need to fix something next time there's a high likelihood you'll have something to use.For sure, if you have a large job and need a significant quantity, then it may be more cost effective to purchase a single larger tube of Seam Grip, but seam sealing aside, the vast majority of repair jobs won't need more than half a 5g tube (at a maximum) and this set of three small tubes is ideal for that.In use I find this just as adhesive and tough as Seam Grip, I've no complaints.

Work's amazingly on pool inflatables!
After seeing so many abandoned broken, expensive inflatables around the pool on holiday we rescued a few and brought them back to the UK. Applied StormSure on the holes and it's amazing. We have recycled so many inflatables from landfill and given them a new lease of life! Now where to put them all...

Dunlop Wellington Boot Repair
I had a 1.5 inch split at the heel of my right wellington boot and they were not that old so I thought I'd try a repair using Stormsure. The instructions weren't that clear for boot repair, but I cleaned the area and fine sanded the surface to give something to bond to. I applied the glue with more than 5mm surround - I basically put it in the split and then on the top surface and left it 12 hours to cure. It didn't dry clear, it had a frosted appearance. Next day I walked the dog up the field and back down the lane. Hosed my boots off when I got home and the Stormsure had begun to split in exactly the same place as the original split. So that was a failed repair. However there were 3 small tubes in the packet so I thought I'd try again.I cleaned off the cracked glue starting from the split and re-sanded the surface lightly. It seemed to me that for whatever reason when walking in these wellingtons that the split point must be a stress point and the glue alone wasn't strong enough to stop it splitting again. So I used 2 inner-tube puncture repair patches and stuck them across the split with Stormsure, then applied the rest of this small tube over the top of the repair as before. I left it 24 hours to cure and again it dried frosty. Next day repeated my dog walk same route and hosed my wellies when I got home. This time the repair had held, no leaks, no cracks. So hopefully it should last for a while now. I think it just needed the extra mechanical support of the puncture repair patches to reduce stress at the split point and give it more surface area to bond to.The main point is that, for now, it is working for the purpose I bought it, even if it needed a little help. It did come with some webbing in the packet but the instructions seemed to indicate that was for repairing tents. However, if I hadn't used the puncture repair patches this webbing might have done the extra mechanical support job, but the instructions weren't clear on this.I'm not bothered by the frosty appearance though clear would have been better. It was a good sized deep split right through where it had split and I'll be pleased if the repair holds long enough to get some decent wear from my wellington boots, then it will have done its job.
