Getting over betrayal
I enjoyed this book it was a nice slow burn that keeps you turning the pages. Looking forward to the next one . Hoping the cow and the pig will still be appearing.

No descriptions of characters.
The book was ok, a bit of an easy read but the idea was a good one.The thing that annoyed me the most was the total lack of physical description of any of the characters. We are told Smith is good looking but is he blonde, dark, muscular, lean?,does he have brown eyes, green? It was frustrating to try and picture anybody and hold the idea.I wouldn’t read any more by this author I’m afraid.

Absolutely wonderful characters!
These characters are so extremely well written and believable that I wanna move to Sweet Water, North Dakota and be friends! 😜😹😁I really enjoyed getting to know not only the main characters, but the entire town and can't wait to read more about all of them!I also really liked the fact that it's a nice clean book with people who want to live their lives in God's graces!I'm going to jump right into the next book because I can't wait!I definitely recommend not on this book/series but anything else by Jessie Gussman! Everything I've read by her has been wonderful!

Fun plot, but a few tweaks
This was a fun romantic story. Please let me offer a few thoughts. The term 'goofing' is overdone in every book. I know of no one who uses it any more. 2. Fewer odd names would be nice. 3. You kept referring to the animal as a steer and a cow. It cannot be both. A steer is a castrated male bovine and a cow is a female. Reading through your gender salad made me cringe every time. Your editors should have helped you on correct term.

Engaging and inspiring
Abrielle and Smith seem like opposites at first, but they do in fact have a lot in common. Both have good reason to push the idea of getting married far, far away. Their exes left them both with guarded hearts and a vow to stay away from the opposite sex and live life independently. Abrielle left life in the city to return to her small home town of Sweet Water a couple of years ago. She has a growing fresh produce business on a small farm that she rents for the cost of utilities, upkeep and repairs. After disastrous relationships and losing everything, Smith has come to Sweet Water to take possession of the farm his aunt offered to him. Neither know of each other’s existence or that their future is tied to the same farm. His aunt suggests a marriage of convenience so they can share the farm or she will sell it to someone else. She gives them one week to decide. Both are stunned, though Smith had advance notice and did his best to dissuade her from marriage before he found out that if they didn’t marry, he would lose the farm too. He has to scramble to make up for his poor first impressions on Abrielle and she has her own apology to make. Both ask for divine guidance and are surprised to discover the guidance leads to each other. Over the course of the week, the advice of some of the townspeople and friends, as well as their observances of each other show them both the path they are meant to take. Their story is one of self-discovery, letting go of the past, and putting their faith in God and each other. It is heartwarming and inspiring with some very funny and touching moments.I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Convicting?
I love how the story shows good changes based on Biblical principles. How can't really help unless know what's going on. How mindset and beliefs determine experience. Choice to be bitter or better from hard experiences. Love the distinction between gossip versus caring. Great definition of true love. Lots of fun stuff as well. I really enjoyed it. Her books always leave me feeling good, and thinking about how can do life better. Highly recommend them. Love the community care.
