Extremely valuable tool for any shop or garage with dirt bikes
Ive seen other lifts that look nearly exactly like this one, just with a different brand name on it and a great deal more expensive. This lift is great! Heavy construction and very stable. I use this on all maintenance work and for every oil change. Im having my front forks serviced right now and having this lift while removing the forks was perfect. The casters on the bottom of the legs are solid and its nice to be able to move the bike around when I need. The lift works great and has the bike at the max height in no time.My only complaint? The safety bar that you slide in the holes of the lower frame once you jack up the bike, is difficult to slide in a the highest position. Its as if the jack needs to lift just a hair higher...but thats no big deal. I, figure that out. I just keep that rod installed on the lower levels just in case.I would recommend this lift to anyone that is in the market for one.

BLEED THE JACK FIRST!
Like any bottle jack that is shipped in a box, the hydraulic oil is subject to mixing with air in the pump chamber. Mine arrived and pumped slowly and would not go up all the way before no longer responding to the pump. A simple 5 minute bleeding was all it took to get it to pump up quickly and raise all the way. There are several good videos on YouTube explaining how to do this -- the following is one example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQ16MCxv_7AIt may require the addition of a little hydraulic oil as well, but that is easily and cheaply done.I'm using mine to raise and move a 3' x 8' torsion box assembly table (250+ lbs) that I want to use most of the time as an outfeed for my table saw and some of the time as an assembly table lower to the floor. So far it seems perfect for the job.

it is really easy to move the bike around the shop or garage
If you own a dirtbike, this is one of those things that is very handy to have. Sure it's more expensive, but opposed to a regular stand, you can pump this one up to a reasonable height to do work without hunching over. Also, if you get the model with the wheels, it is really easy to move the bike around the shop or garage. On that note, if you are getting one, spring a little extra for the wheel model. It's worth the coin. And don't get too hung up on the height. For all of our bikes, we either have to lift the rear on the suspension or completely lift the rear of the bike off the ground to get it on. I'm a female and I can get all of our bikes up there just fine.

This product does the job...it wasn't designed to do!
Updated Review after 10 Days use: dated 9/04/2014The "MDB Stand Jack Lift" lifts those water coolers from the cart position onto and off of the client's counter with ease. Hubby's route is in downtown San Francisco where the crosswalks lead to inclines filled with raised yellow-numbed safety patches. The low-riding stock wheels impede clearance for the jack-support structure so he is contemplating replacing them. A functional design note: it would be nice to have a place on the product to store the cross-brace when the stand is in the cart position.Initial Review was one-star of product dated 8/20/2014My hubby works a demanding water cooler delivery job in SF. Lifting the coolers from the floor has injured his back several times. I bought this tool to assist him with his job. The the "MDB Stand Jack Lift" arrived today. It was obviously a returned item that was reshipped to me. I don't know why, it feels like my anticipation and excitement was pooped-on. Currently the product is missing washers on the base where the wheels attach (luckily I have a few, hope they fit). The instructions consisted of a: product picture, CAUTIONS, and an itemized list of what should be included. Some of the items are already attached so it will be a while before I can figure out if any more parts are missing. I'm off to finish assembly, after I search YouTube for an "assembly" video. I will update my review once I finish assembly and hubby gives it the, on-the-job test.5 stars to Amazon shipping - the product arrive on time.

Life saver
I couldn't be happier with this lift. It is designed for lifting motor cycles, but I use it around my house for dozens of lifting jobs. Recently I lifted a grand piano, one leg at a time, to replace the coasters under each leg. In my work shop I use it to lift and move heavy pieces of equipment like a band saw, radial arm saw and other items. In my office I lifted one end of a 300 lb desk top to remove, repair and replace legs. These are jobs with which I would have had great difficulty without this lift.Addressing the construction and operation of this lift, it is very sturdy, rolls easily, lifts easily, and lowers smoothly. After about 6 months of use, I have no problems with anything about this piece of equipment.

Does job but could be dangerous
Positive: 1. lifts my KTM 500 exc (275lbs) with ease.2. reasonable price after doing exhaustive search.Negative: 1. the release knob to lower the bike is very sensitive and the lifts with a foot actuated release lever would be safer.2. the plastic matt came right off, although it was easily reapplied with some spray adhesive.3. the whole wheel system seems sketchy, I would have preferred a way to have it just stand on its legs.

Finally! A pic of how to secure the bike.
Decent lift. Plenty strong enough and reasonably well built. Would buy again. Only complaint is lack of ANY instructions whatsoever. Did some searching and found this pic online which appears to show how to secure the bike. A little hokey but works will on my Honda dirtbikes.

Cool
Small so it's easy to store. Very versatile, and the wheels roll smoothly.
