Google Chromecast with GTV HD (GA03131-DE)

Despite its limited memory, it's the perfect streaming on demand device - compact and extremely easy to set up in under 5 minutes. Gmail account preferred but not needed, however it does lack the refinement of having all your google apps in one place. Not all apps on the play store are available to use on the chromecast, don't let that put you off as it still has lots of functional apps to stream free content or paid services and much much more, like games if thats your thing? Don't be bamboozled with the 4k counterpart, you get an extremely great viewing experience on the HD version even on a 60" TV. It's not 100% android based as there are a few things missing, but this is a thinned down version to make it function like a smart TV. It functions perfectly well with its low capacity memory, let's not forget its a streaming device so you wont need much memory anyway as its not meant to be a storage medium. Apps don't take up much room, however it does lack USB ports but that is easily remedy by adding a powered USB port HUB which can double as extra storage if you like to have your own media server on hand or offset app storage to an external USB drive. This will give you hours of enjoyment gaming and entertainment with catching up with box sets or films, lots of great oldies to be found and you don't need to subscribe to watch with the free streaming apps available on the play store, such as Plex and Pluto.
