Does Not Work for USB Microscope Connected to iPhone
Just a friendly FYI -- I tried to use this to connect a USB microscope to my iPhone and it doesn't work, even after reaching out to support at the microscope manufacturer and at Apple. This is NOT a criticism of the adapter -- just letting you know in case anyone else wants to try the same thing.

It just doesn’t work at all
Why did you pick this product vs others?:It doesn’t actually work at all. I guess I should have bought the Audioquest Dragontail instead. That one works perfectly.

It works, but has some serious issues.
It's sad that products like this are on Page 1 on Amazon results...When I first opened the product, the first things I noticed was that therre was 2 small pieces of leftover rubber that stuck out from when the cable insulation was being cut (I assume). It's not a big issue, but it set the tone for my experience with this product.Secondly, I noticed that if I held the adapter a certain way under a light, you could actually see that the plastic looks like it was very lightly worn, as if the plastic case was actually used in a product before, but got recycled and used in this one. Which is fine, but I thought I was buying a brand new product, not a used one. The internals may be new (but still flawed), but the plastic case did not at all look brand new and pristine. I could see many tiny scratches and other marks that indicated it was used by somone else.Lastly, and probably the most important part, the adapter did work.I was surprised how light weight the product was, to the point where I was fearing that there were no electronics on the inside to begin with! I even tapped on the adapter case with my finger nail, and it sounded very hollow, so before even plugging it in, I was nervous nothing would happen. But it is able to charge my phone through the Lightning port, and I can also plug in a USB drive into the adapter to transfer pictures and videos off my phone (one of the reasons I bought it).(Side note. At first, I thought that the adapter used a USB type C port for power, because of the printed icon on the case. But of course it's Lightning. I alsmost broke it by shoving a USB C into it.)TLDR:But the main thing I wanted to point out here is that, I wanted to test and see if I could plug in a USB headset into my phone and listen to music, and that does indeed work, but with a major issue. When sound is playing, there is a frequent amount of crackling sounds that completely disrupts the listening experience. You can hear the music, but you will get a few poping sounds every second. The headset is not the issue because I can plug it into my PC, and it works fine.I have also tested the adapter with both the Lightning cable plugged in to supply additional power, still does the same thing.I also wiggled the Lightning end of the adapter while it was plugged in with the headset, and noticed it seemed a bit loose, and the popping sound would become more frequent, and at some point the headset would disconnect completely, even though the Lightning cable was still clearly inserted. My conclusion is, the adapter works, but if you were only buying it to use your usb headphones, you will probably regret buying this one.Not even Apple's official product showed up on Page 1, when it shoud've.I was hoping to find a brand like Anker that had a black one, but maybe I shoud've looked at Page 2 or 3.
