Tom & Jerry: Golden Collection Volume 1 [Blu-ray] [US Import]

An excellent collection of uncut classic cartoons looking brighter and sharper than I`ve ever seen them before on this BluRay edition. Some of the films do display excessive graininess but this might be due to them being the only surviving prints available and, of course, the high definition disc will show any defects that much more clearly than regular DVD editions. A shame that the BBC doesn`t show any T&J on BBC1 these days. They`re not just for children after all.

Excellent selection of early Tom and Jerry films, many with stunning picture quality, as one might expect from Blu-ray. Plays perfectly on my UK Blu-ray Panasonic player. This is my first Blu-ray import and we seem to be fortunate, in so far these type of discs, do not seem to have any type of region coding, which is great for UK collectors, of the hard to find material.

Brilliant apart from the needless have to read rubbish by a paranoid company scared they will be sued by people affended by cartoons ! This world has become the pits because of people playing racist cards all day long !

Nice to finally get to see the the cartoons as they were intended to be shown, without the PC police destroying history as they decide what is OK to other people to watch.

Good nostalgic fun - but why do we have to suffer the politically correct lecture on the packaging relating to the Negro stereotyping of the housekeeper character? She's doing a good honest job - get over it...

The ultimate Tom and Jerry collection, exactly as I remember them from my childhood (seventies) plus episodes that I don't think I'd ever seen. But this was for my daughter, of course ....

Uncut, restored, nice extras, attractice packaging. What more could a collector possibly want? VOLUME TWO OF COURSE!!!

Been waiting for this for years and I finally got this from the US and it was worth the wait, crystal clear and uncut with some extras to boot, can't wait for volume 2.
