CLOSE ENCOUNTER WITH THE TRUTH?
Tricky one to review this,it's a great film with a difference, but there's so many clashing views on what was or wasn't actually real,it's hard to know what to make of it all. One thing i did appreciate was how Milla spoke to the camera at the beginning explaining the part she's playing and we are to make up our own minds,so there's no real forced views going on.So,it's about a psychologist who tapes patients telling their stories of weird visions and funny goings on at night, that are clearly freaking them out.It doesn't take much to figure out these are believed to be alien visits,or even abductions. However, the psycholohist has had her own alien related problems with her husband being zapped up,then later we see her trauma as things get worse with more supposed alien visits. This is all filmed as a normal film alongside supposed real footage of the actual audio and vidoe tapes, which are certainly very interesting. You even get acted and "real" footage of the psychologist being interviewed after her traumatic experiences, leaving everyone wondering if she is ironicly loosing her mind. I enjoyed this alien film with a difference,as it's not about seeing aliens attacking,it's more about what others say happened to them, with a few unclear shots of otherworldly things doing their thing.I did go online afterwards to see if there was much doubt about the validity of the "real" footage and found out there's loads. Some of it is just opinion, but others swear they have found proof it was just a scam to sell a movie as it were. That said,i have read pages from those that insist it was all real, just names and other little things changed for the usual reasons.Real or not,i would say this is a very interesting movie for those that like a more psychological style. The acting's fine and it is an interesting story and unusual idea to have too ways filming it,mingling together. So maybe it's best not to think too much about how genuine it all is and just enjoy the film, which i did,but that said,if this footage is the real deal, some of us are having encounters other aren't ready accept.

The Choice is Yours to make....
I've been wanting to see this film ever since it came out and only recently managed to get round to it and for once I wasn't disappointed. The film takes place in Nome, Alaska where there is a history of unsolved and bizarre incidents amongst the townsfolk. Being a huge X Files fan I'm into films which have a certain paranormal theme....The dramatised sections of the film are nicely interspersed with 'real-life' footage which adds a certain amount of authenticity to the claims of the movie and are just as fascinating and disturbing to watch as the 'dramatised' footage - I wouldn't say that I was completely unnerved by the film but there is a certain tension that builds up within you while you are watching it and one definitely gets a cold, tingly feeling during the videotaped interview sessions Dr. Tyler has with her patients.... one scene in particular (I don't wish to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it) is quite disturbing and left me feeling a little uneasy - but in a good way ;).Although portrayed as a 'dramatised version of true events' I have to doff my cap to Ms. Jovovich (and her supporting cast) who do give a very good performances as their respective characters so it will be quite entertaining to watch. The story itself is OK as far as abduction stories go and there is enough story coupled with 'action' to keep you fixated on the screen.Whether or not you believe what the film is portraying is your own business (it's stated at the start and finish of the movie) but it will leave you wondering. But, all in all, it was a good film and I would therefore recommend it.

Very interesting
So this is a different style of movie. Its about abduction by aliens and its a movie with real footage super imposed at certain parts. When you see the state of the main character in real life at the end of the movie it does make you think something very strange took place.Obviously the real footage could be made up but why make the movie at all then if its all fake.Best thing to do is buy this DVD and make up your own mind. Im torn as it could easily all be true or a complete fake.

Anunnaki,. Scary and deeply unsettling simply because it just might be true...
There's something about this docu-movie that makes you feel deeply on edge because it is based on phenomenon that has happened and is still happening today, if you believe the UFO community. It taps into the Ancient Alien theory that the Sumerian god's, the Anunnaki, the winged sky beings, created the human race by genetic engineering, and are still abducting and tweaking our DNA... Creepy stuff...
