El ArtesanoMantecados and Polvorones Selection 600 g

I felt like I was back in Spain with this lovely product

Despite being a delicate food product that can disintegrate easily, the Spanish Trading Co got them out to us in perfect condition. There's a good variety in the box - more than shown on the box cover - with two to four of each type (good for sharing), and each is a nice size to enjoy. Yum!

I knew these will be of the quality in Spanish myself and I enjoy these but I do think the price is a little bit but most important things are

I absolutely love Polvorones and I’m so pleased to have found them at a price that is reasonable. I usually buy my Polvorones on my trips to Spain where they are mostly available at Christmas time so with no trips for some time I am delighted to have found them at a price that doesn’t break the bank. They arrived in good condition and I will be ordering again

When I purchased the Mantecados Y Polvorones, I carefully looked at the list of ingredients shown in the Amazon listing several times and there was no mention of any sugar. I’ve never had this type of food before, so I thought it might be a sort of semi-sweet / savoury food, like some unsweetened oat biscuits can be. I thought or hoped these cakes might be similar to other “El Artesano” products, some of which are sugar-free such as their ‘turron’. Personally, I am trying to avoid any processed sugar, but obviously people will have different requirements and tastes etc.Unfortunately, when they arrived, I looked at the ingredients on the box and each cake had sugar as one of the main ingredients. 25g out of 100g is sugar, in fact, from the nutritional information table. These cakes might be delicious, I don’t know, but I’m just disappointed that sugar was omitted from the ingredients list on Amazon.Therefore, for anyone who might want to know the full list of ingredients, I am including them below:Mantecado De CacaoWheat flour, sugar, lard, powder cocoa (2%), vanilla aroma, antioxidants (E-320 Buthilhidroxianisol BHA). Arrived safely and undamaged. Enjoyed very much.

Ordered these were late in the delivery.However they did get here for Christmas.Cons- short of dateNot very nice in state very powderyNot the best polvorines I have purchased from Spanish retails online have been great but not so much these. Although packaging was goof box arrived crushed unfortunately so not so good
