It isn't your typical "off the shelf" battery (unless you peruse some really strange shelves) the size is "tiny" light, great li-ion composition & would last nearly a decade or so with minimal use, in our exerience. This battery was purchased in 2008 for the black diamon "ion" led lightweight emergency back up headtorch & only fizzled out due to our daughter reading under the covers, leaving it on & it slipping down the side of the bed. So don't grumble at the price, instead marvel at how long it can last (potentially) compared to other batteries, 6v is a good amount of punch for a battery (useage dependent) so ideal for an emergency light within long term kit, ours are forever being used for a variety of reasons, however this mainly stayed in use on nights as a low weight hands free option to check on patients bedside equipment / perform maintainence etc. It also worked well as a light attached to a sleeping bag for our childs first camp outs, night hikes when the big petzl's could not be found, or as a back up to main light(s) ..of weich this battery delivered without wavering year in, year out!
