I saw the picture that reviewer Zack posted to mount his camera. Brilliant! I used this to clamp to the wood under the eaves just like Zack did. My security cameras took a 1/4 inch mount, so I was able to attach the camera to the male 1/4 inch threaded mount that came with the clamp. I didn't use the extra piece of wood shown in Zack's picture. I did attach adhesive round furniture felt pads to the clamp so as not to damage the wood. Holding up so far.

Very handy

I like this clamp allows me to clamp it to a 2x4 wood under the roof and can always reposition to another spot. You can ad 1/4 -20 coupler threaded extender to end of ball joints.

No complaints here except that I overestimated its physical size. Thumb screws are a bit fiddly and getting good torque on the camera mount can be a challenge - BUT - since I got it set everything has held in place so far. Next time I plan to move my camera I’ll probably hunt for something a bit heavier duty though (eufy indoor pan and tilt).

Using to affix an external laptop camera onto a squared-off pole. The clamp is okay but tends to loose it's grip. I've managed to add some padding to the pole to bolster the clamp, but it's a bit of a jerry-rig.
