They lied in the description. It does not fit a 3cm pole.

Does not Clamp to correct pole thickness
The product doesn't clamp to my microphone stand at the top 12mm diameter or the bottom 20mm diameter . The product is designed such that, unless you have an almost exact match to the pole size with the product , it will not work no matter what combination of the rubber inserts you use. The tray just slides down the pole making it it practically useless. You cannot see this from the photos - but rest assured it doesn't fit securely and doesn't grip as the inserts are of fixed depth and the clamp action is also to a fixed point.The only way I could get it to fit was to use both inserts (large and small into the gap) - but when I opened up the mechanism one fell to the floor - I'm bound to lose it after a gig. So returning.
