Used for a landscape lighting project. Boxes work great to seal the cable entry points. Terminal strips integrated into the boxes are tool- free push-in with a release button. Works well for up to 14 gauge wire. I used 16 gauge direct burial speaker cable which is fine for 3W LED lights. 12 gauge standard landscape cable does not work well. It is too thick.

What a great item. I put in 120v LED garden spotlights and was looking for a waterproof power strip when I came across this junction box. The box is small and flat at 1.25 inches in height 4 inches in diameter (6.5 inches from wire in/out connector tip to connector tip). It is black which hides well in a garden bed.It has push lock speed connector terminals that accommodate 5 outputs and 1 input. Terminal blocks are color coded for clear identity of hot, neutral and ground wires. The input is separated for clarity as well. (See picture).If your wires are already stripped a Phillips screwdriver is the only tool you will need to secure the sealed cover to the box. Each connector to the box comes with a cable tightener (Black pieces in upper left corner) and a gasket to ensure the wires are secure and the seal is watertight (2 sizes for smaller and fatter wire jackets). Additional 3 blocking seals are supplied if you have unused box connectors to ensure the box is watertight. By design you can see how this would be waterproof. I looked at the power strips that were much more expensive and bulkier and still cannot fathom how something with a plug can be waterproof. When the snow comes and the electric is buried, it's one thing I won't have to worry about.

Seems to be holding up to the rain, so far. I like that it has terminal blocks inside, eliminates having to do a bunch of wirenuts or soldering. Will update if it fails.

This is a great junction box to avoid wire nuts and loose connections. Pushing down on the button opens the self locking wire connector. Used it inside my attic space to install recessed lighting. Because it is water tight and not metal I didn't worry about touching the box while making connections or accidental shorts. The silicone inserts for the wiring hole come in two diameters to accommodate wire gauge to make a water tight seal but it also grabs the wire to prevent yanking the connect loose. There is also a silicone plug for wire holes not used. This will also keep spiders and other things out of the junction box beside water. My favorite part is no wire nuts means not having to fight for room inside the junction box to get the cover on, and yes there is a silicone seal on the lid too. Might just be my favorite junction box from now on.

This is a great solution for a wire box involving several wires. However, it is not UL listed, so I would strongly suggest it not be used with AC or high current wiring. Just do simple 12V, low current, types of circuits. The whole kit is included, and the junction box is larger than I thought (which I think is good). The only issue is they only give you 3 of the "no wire" stoppers. It means that if you only have 2 wires entering the junction box, then one of the other ports will be "not completely plugged up". Presenting a possible rain intrusion point. But I think you could also use one of the smaller gauge plugs, and just really tighten it down. So overall, I like it! Just only for low voltage, and low current, wiring.

This junction box is perfect for an ongoing low voltage wiring project at around my home's exterior. This junction box will allow multiple runs to be connected. The junction box seems sturdy, high-quality, and waterproof. I recommend this Junction Box Cable Connector box for low voltage wiring connections.
