Could not get the clock to work right

Great gift for Christmas to add to my Nana's collection of clocks

The media could not be loaded. This Magic Pendulum Motion Chime Clock was our second attempt at getting a working clock. The first one arrived with a large crack in the side. The manufacturer or place this item was packaged did not provide enough protection for this item to be shipped. The clock had a very thin bubble wrap around it and was then placed in a box. One drop and during shipment will break the clock. The clock in the pictures is the second clock sent to replace another broken one which broke during shipping. The clock in the picture does not work right either. When this new clock in the pictures and in the video's chimes it does not chime the correct amount of times for any hour. Please note in the video the clock reached 4:00 P.M. but only chimes at the end of the music 3 times not 4. I tried it on every hour it was always short rings and on some hours like 8:00 P.m. it chimed 10 times. I will be requesting a return on this clock also. These clocks are very attractive I have always wanted one but maybe I should look at some a little better packed and manufactured. I am sorry to say I can not recommend this Magic Pendulum Motion Chime Clock. In this case it is only this model others may be packed and perform properly.

A relative of mine has one of those clocks that sing a lovely song on the hour with animated figures. I have wanted one for so long. I thought this would do more than it did, similar to my relative's clock, but it does not. It has a blimp that swings back and forth as the pendulum and the lower part has a decorative pawnshop looking symbol that turns back and forth (more on this in a second).The clock is gorgeous, but it is loud. It does play a different song every hour and starts chiming at 6 a.m. and the last one is 9 p.m. There are some popular songs it plays. But, like I said, it is very loud. I can hear it from the bedroom upstairs and on the other end of the house.The chimes need AA batteries and the lower half, the pawnshop looking symbol, needs a C (or D?) battery. The lower half kind of clicks when it moves and it's stopped moving recently, but then starts up, so I don't really know what's going on there, to be honest.Overall, if you're looking for something that's pretty and a little fancy and won't break the bank like those real nice ones, this is a good choice.

The media could not be loaded. The clock is lightweight plastic but beautiful and bright. It takes 4 AA batteries and one C cell battery. The pendulum comes locked to protect it in shipping, so be sure and unclip it, easy to do. Large opening in the back for easy access to the batteries and time setting. Lightweight makes it easy to hang anywhere. It hangs from one hold in the back that is large enough to hang easy and go over a larger screw head. The speaker and sounds are good and the clock face is easy to read across a large room. This clock deserves a video not a picture.

It came broken. It’s basically plastic junk for a high price.

Very nice looking, but... 1st one that came was broke. Looked like I was sent one somebody returned. Pieces of the plastic on the bottom were chipped. It looked like someone tried to open the case. Replacement worked, but rings at all hours of the night, 1:00 AM and 3:00 AM. The instructions are very poor. I can't figure out how to get this to work properly. If anyone knows, HELP!
