This works well with the Fogkay 51mm porta filter.
This works great with the Fogkay 51mm porta filter, the magnets hold strong.Loading the porta filter is much easier with this gadget, just pour and tap and everything falls into place.

Perfect fit and function for Breville machine
I purchased this dosing funnel as part of my initial gear for a Bambino Plus/Encore ESP/Normcore bottomless portafilter/Normcore WDT setup and couldn't be more pleased. The magnetic attachment holds the funnel very securely to the portafilter when inverted to take the ground coffee from the dosing cup. The flared lip both facilitates the loading and the use of the WDT tool for even distribution. The funnel then detaches easily and cleanly, leaving the grounds undisturbed and ready for tamping. It does exactly what it is supposed to do! UPDATE: It appears that some baskets are non-magnetic and will not work with this funnel. I've just gotten an IMS Precision (the plain one without the Nanoquartz coating), and it falls right off. No magnetic attachment at all. Worked perfectly with the stock Breville and the stock Normcore, but no go with the IMS.

Works great!
It makes filling the funnel mess free. The magnets 🧲 work great and it's easy to use. The puck screen works well also. I would recommend them to anyone.

Non magnetic portafilters
Magnets don't work with most portafilter baskets since they are made with high grade stainless and the portafilter is brass. Otherwise the filter is fine. it's anodizing keeps coffee particles from sticking to it, however it's inner curve doesn't allow a tamper or leveler cannot push through it. So it's not as useful as hoped.

Adheres well. Prevents spills.
Purchased primarily for dosing funnel on 58mm portafilter basket. Magnets hold funnel in place making it useful for both pouring grounds from a larger grinder cup and using a needle espresso distribution tool. The funnel sits firmly against the basket edge, preventing grounds from building up between the funnel and basket. The puck screen is used less frequently but has served a purpose. The use of the screen will slightly reduce flow, restricting extraction, and requiring a slightly looser grind (versus without the screen) on most beans. A downside to using the screen is that it adheres to the puck, requiring me to dig into the knockbox to remove a very hot screen from the puck. Additionally, the screen also has to be flushed after each use--though it has cleaned up very easily each time using the hot water feature on my espresso machine. So why use the screen? For those (usually older) beans that just seem to want you to put your grinder at a setting where your burrs almost touch. The puck screen lets you open the grinder back up a bit. The screen does also keep the group head screen cleaner. But I am not so sure it is worth the dig and flush of the puck screen itself for that.

Elegant, functional
Well made with a good set of magnets, this funnel grips well to my baskets/portafilters. However, not all will work, and if you’ve not tried one of these magnetic types before you should try using a magnet to check how well it grips yours first. This is not a ‘deep’ funnel but its flare means it easily catches coffee grinds whether tipped from a dosing cup or bag or straight from a grinder. However, any stick or brush-like WDT tool needs to be used with less energy and speed so as not to lose some of one’s grinds over the side!An inner ring fits inside the basket fitted to one’s portafilter, meaning that on removal there’s an indentation or ‘moat’ in the outermost part of one’s coffee grounds. At first I didn’t like this feature, but compared to another funnel I use that doesn’t have this ring it means other tools that push into the basket - such as tampers - pick up little or no grind on their sides, reducing coffee loss and clean-up.Finally, this is a really smart-looking, elegant funnel with an attractive finish and color that makes it easy to see where it ends and the coffee grinds begin.Recommended.
