I was a bit trepidatious at first about using this, however I was put at ease once I realized it did not have instructions. Good thing it is intuitive to assemble and use. Smooth shave, very easy to use, and the shaver is ambidextrous. Solid purchase for first time cutthroat use.

Alright I’ve never written a review before, but this item is amazing. Hands down the smoothest shave I’ve had, and the best value for a purchase. I could not recommend this product enough.

I'm not usually one to review, but I noticed that someone gave this product one star because he doesn't know how to use it. I can't understand that logic.If you don't know how to use this, try finding the patience to learn. If you don't have the patience to learn, don't buy it because yes, you probably will hurt yourself. If you don't know how to use it or have the patience to learn, certainly don't write a review!The product does exactly what it's supposed to do and looks pretty cool, too. For people who can use it, it's a fine purchase.

It is resusable, not plastic, and relatively light. The razors that are included are sharp and can last more than one face-shave. This product is cheap and can be utilized well. It will test your fine motor skills, but not just in the bathroom-sport of shaving. I have been using it for around 3 months and still manage to knick my finger once in a while. The handle and clamp may be iffy, but the blades are the real deal and you get 100 individually wrapped in, what seems to be, wax paper.The mechanical function of this unit is not future-proof, nor is it intuitive. The clamping method is subject to wear and tear, and will be difficult for some people. The razor is held well, but getting it in a consistent location is a pain. More often than not, you will have to slightly adjust your grip to accommodate the position of the razor. There is no effective way of placing the blades using fingers without risking a cut once the blade is in the clamping portion. I recommend puching the blades in from the side and using the side of a toothbrush to tap in the blade to the desired position.This thing will teach you some lessons about shaving equipment and technique because you need to be a good shaver to prevent cuts. The problem with products like this is that you need experience to use it safely. The price is for an entry- level unit, but will be difficult to learn on.

While not comparable to a traditional straight razor, it is still a great value shavette that easily competes with more expensive shavettes, at a fraction of the price.
