I'm not sure what you mean by waterproof. It is a spray; it doesn't form any kind of physical barrier. I imagine if it gets wet on the animal, it will wash away.

Can this be used on chickens to stop them pecking

Thank you for your question. RenaSan can be used safely on chickens to kill 99.9999% of bacteria and fungi which can sometimes cause skin irritation leading to pecking. We recommend spraying liberally onto the affected area twice daily. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee our product will be effective in stopping the chicken pecking itself, as there can be many different causes for this. I hope this information is helpful.
