Great cage for dwarves but you would need a couple of extension pods. really great design that looks good too
This is a great cage for dwarf hamsters when combined with one or two other pod extensions. My two robos started off with one of these and one dwarf home with the upward tubing and carry case at the top and the den. As they got older I had to seperate them and they now each have an loft, a home pod, a maze pod and a den. I think this is a good amount of space for them as they love to run through the tubes. I tend to put their food and things in the round pods and use the loft for toys. The den under the food bowl is perfect size for robos. It would NOT fit even the smallest of Syrians. The wheel would also be too small for a Syrian as the cone shaped spindle would make it arch it's back. This cage has good ventilation for a modular cage. The water bottles do not leak as many people say if you follow the instructions how to use them, fill up completely, shake up and down twice and squeeze once. The cardboard 'maze' insert is useless. It doesn't stay in properly, it isn't a maze just a piece of card with holes in the hamster can pop up through and it takes up half the cage. I never used mine. Maze unit extension has 3D maze which is much better. Really easy to clean. Connection system for tubes excellent. So easy and secure, gone is the struggle of fixing tubes together. Great design and looks good too. Great cage for dwarves if you buy add one. Too small for Syrians.

Good for a plastic cage and Syrian safety
Ok so I have a Syrian hamster and she can't have a metal bar cage because she keeps chewing on the metal (that's bad for them) so I got this loft and two of the circle hub things and with these three there is enough space but you need more than one if u have a Syrian, there are some downsides in the photo you can see that I have needed to use a belt to keep the top in place (the hamster can lift it otherwise) and the water bottle it two small but you can just use a normal one in its place. If like me you need to have a plastic cage this is a set up I would recommend

Fantastic Hamster Cage
I have owned hamsters for around 10 years as I rent and move from place to place so it is not possible to have a large pet.Rodents are great but the most important thing they need is a home that is suitable. I have had many types of cage before but this one seems to have hit the nail on the head. I love the way it looks, modern and fashionable and has all the added extra's that you and your rodent needs. This is ideal for a Syrian who loves living alone and need plenty of space. The cage takes literally seconds to put together and comes with everything shown with the OVO Loft model, wheel and house or storage room my hamster seems to use it for and a Maze cardboard insert however I chose not to use this as the space inside without it is a luxury for my hamster. The cage fits together perfectly and is very well made, the roof is excellent to gain access from above and the sliding doors allow me to give the hamster some access to the outside world without needing to lift her out.Coming from a smaller cage that she is just too big for now this gives her plenty of room to move around in and is sturdy and will be very hard wearing in the long run. One of the more important aspects for me personally is the high concealed sides and carefully positioned air holes, this means that you do have sawdust all over the place when my little lady starts digging and jumping around. The only thing I am slightly concerned with is the clever and funky looking water bottle, she seems confused by it and how it works so you may need to squeeze the sides to begin with and let the rodent see where the water comes from.Overall a superb cage roomy and full of possibilities, I have just ordered the OVO Den to attach to the other side. Bibbles adores it
I was getting a hamster for the first time and this cage had been recommended to me by my cousin. I bought this of amazon and it arived within a matter of days. It was a lot bigger than u expect so your little hammy won't grow out of it, it has no tubes to get infected either.some times ur hamster may scratch on the edge but it's so safe ur hamster cannot escape. The wheel , house, food bowl are very handy as well. The ovo habitrail also looke great! It looks cool and morden if some1 come 2 see it, I did not bother with the extra tubes as my hamster has lots of room. The cardboard maze was awesome for a bit until Bibbles nearly scuffed it all. If u r worried about tubes just put a empty loo or kitchen roll in there however u will end up replacing this quite frequently as ur hammy will start 2 chew. WOW! This cage is worth the money. Stange effect
Not sure what is going on here, but we have two dwarf hamsters. We have to keep them separate, so only one at a time is in this house. The hamster that is put in this house hides away, and isn't seen much. You can't see inside that easily (due to reflections on the plastic) and the hamster cannot see out, so it's not great for interaction. The water bottle is a bit of a joke. It leaks almost all of the time, and despite us trying what others have said (fill the bottle completely before turning upside down) the thing just leaks anyway. The hamsters also didn't drink while this was in place. We removed it and dropped in a standard bottle into the same hole, and they started drinking immediately. It looks nice, but it also seems that the bedding in this house smells quicker than a more open house, so I don't think we will be keeping this much longer. It's well made, plastic feels brittle, but is strong where it needs to be, and it is good for expansion to other similar branded accessories, but these aren't compatible with dwarf hamsters.
