Bajan Pepper Sauce 340 g

Why did you choose this product over others?: I bought it because I used to use it a lot then had a change and decided to try it again. It's still a lovely chilli sauce and unlike a lot of chilli sauces it has a flavour which I still love. The only difference like a lot of things these days is you get a lot less for your money and it's in a horrible plastic bottle. As I previously said it still tastes as good.

Best pepper sauce I’ve found and I’ve had me a few!!

I read so many poor reviews on this; also some really good ones.. I decided to try myself as saying “ I don’t like it” or “ it’s not hot” isn’t really descriptive to me and also unfortunately lacks experience on describing you're taste bud vocabulary. It’s not too sweet, it’s warm, very fruity, zesty, with a lingering tingle in your lips after for a long time. . I also found it full of flavour, peppery, acidic like , yet topped off with a perfect balance of fiery and spicy hear, fruit after taste too. It has a very distinctive taste, and is blended perfectly; could easily tell this from any other sauce. If it’s not hot enough for people who like ghost pepper hot, then, my suggestion is to add some extra ghost chilli’s etc. To me it’s a good buy, very happy. Unfortunately I can’t afford to go to the Bahamas to taste this sauce like a lot of the reviews mentioned. However, it’s the next best thing. You get a lot for your £££, saves buying bland sauces in Asda ,or Waitrose, that are over priced.and terrible for a tiny amount. Will I order more? Does a shark poop in the sea?

My partner makes a wicked bajan sauce with this sauce! He says it's the real deal. For me it tastes excellent giving desired spicy kick and depth of flavor. I actually don't mind the plastic bottle for this one BUT from sustainability perspective it really should be glass. Otherwise all as it should be, good price point for 2 bottles which last sufficiently and quick delivery.

Pretty hot, be sure to shake the bottle before adding a dollop. In addition to the decent chilli kick, there's a pleasant taste to this so it's not just bringing heat. The wife and I enjoy our spicy foods, and we tend to use this in moderation. If you're not a fan of spice, this is not for you.

Aunt May's Bajan sauce is one of the best Carribbean sauces available! The heat level is medium low, so it can be used on many things or as a dipping sauce. Flavour is mustard and pepperynalmost picalilly and after the initial heat it doesn't build and get hotter. Put it on meat, eggs, fish, cheese on toast and you will be happy. Not recommended if you can't tolerate spicy flavours, but perfect for anyone who does. A bit over priced but it's hard to get hold of in the UK.

This is my go-to spicy sauce for just about anything - especially for fried and smoked food. The spicy chilis are not kidding around, but they harmonize beautifully with overtones of mustard and just enough acidity from the vinegar. I also like the viscosity - unlike most vinegar-based hot sauce, Aunt May's has about the same consistency as a barbecue sauce (think Carolina Gold, but with a fruity, spicy kick).

Da molti anni cercavo una salsa bajun per rimpiazzare la Encona, introvabile in Italia, almeno per me, e reperibile all'estero ma con spese di spedizione gravose. Ho provato qualche surrogato, senza grandi soddisfazioni. Poi, casualmente, ho visto Zia May su Amazon. Ottima fama, prezzo ragionevole, proviamo mi sono detto. Nulla meno che eccezionale! Forse meglio di Encona. Piccantezza per me giusta, ma è una questione molto personale. Chi ama questo genere di condimenti deve provarla. L'aroma dello scotch bonnet, la varietà di habanero usata nella bajun, è unico.

J'en ai commandé deux autres avant que la première bouteille ne soit à moitié terminée. Je l'utilise principalement comme glaçage sur les ailes de poulet, mais j'ai commencé à l'ajouter à tout. Les sandwichs, œufs, pommes de terre. Base de moutarde. Il y a une certaine chaleur mais pas dans l'échelon supérieur des sauces piquantes. C'est une bonne combinaison d'épices et de saveurs.

For those of you that have not had this island delight, please do so. Great flavor and heat. Spice level not too hot for adventurous, spicy for the less traveled.
