Would they need gluing closed if using smaller objects such as buttons?** A: Hi. All tubes have screwing lids, that can be fit in a bit tighter. I never needed to use glue. At some point your child will be able to open them, make sure that the contents are safe for them. When I got these tubes my child was under 9 months and I tried all sorts of objects until she started opening by the age of 2.
