Short sections
I accidentally ordered this version with short sections. I think it creates more break points and more weight with all the fittings but they worked out good. One advantage of short pieces is fitting them and assembling in tight spots that the larger ones would need to bend.I used them to pull a pull string up two stories through an outside wall (with no insulation) to run romex. There was a section that unscrewed once but didn't get lost.Pretty decent for the price, got the job done. Be careful and don't expect to pull heavy cable, use these to get a heavy duty pull string thru first then pull with that.

Not going to be stiff as Klein fiber rods
If you have Klein 6foot fiber rods, and hold them straight out, you would get about 3-4 inches of drop. If you take 6 feet of these rods, you'll get about 1-2 feet of drop. OK, so this doesn't sound like a lot, but if you're trying to use these to span a room, around 16-20 feet, they won't be strong enough to stay in the air.I bought these hoping to "pull a string" across a confined attic area, and then pull back romex (14/2 for a 15 amp fixture). I ran the rods through an external hole and then went up to the attic. The rods droop so quickly it hit rafter and was a no go. I thought, well, ok maybe I'll just use it for the last 6-10 feet but they were just too floppy to be practical. If you need NO horizontal strength, these rods are good. If you're trying to span, or expect it to even be similar to strength of Klein sticks, you will be very disappointed. The only reason I didn't return them is I can still use them to run down walls (attic down to electrical/low voltage boxes). If I lose a few, I won't care and it should be strong enough to run a pull string.

Worked where a wire snake did not!
I had to run ROMEX through a 4" hole, through fiberglass and blown in insulation to another 4" hole 12 feet away! My wire snake was binding and missing the mark. This worked well!

convenience
I wish I knew about these a long time ago. They are great! Easy to use and much better than anything else I've use to fish wires.

Work, but don't try and put any force on them
I have had these about 5 months. I have used them for 4 jobs. The first 3 didn't have any issues. The 4th I was running up 3 floors. I hit a snag and it went down hill from there. I ended up pulling the ends off 4 sticks and lost my ferret camera in the wall because the end just unscrewed on another. Decent for easy runs, not anything heavy
