Great gift for a baptism. Love the quality of the box and scripture verse. Would look better if you unwrap everything first and give it as a gift. It won’t look as presentable if they receive through the mail.

I love the antique look of this engraved compass!! It has an older look to it...which is exactly what I wanted. It reminds me of an old Captain's compass from days long past. If you are looking for something that looks new and shiny then you might want to pass....but if you are looking for something that looks like an older antique style of gift...then this is perfect! I don't think the compass needle works properly for determining direction...the needle wobbles really loosely, so I wouldn't rely on it for the correct direction. However, that's not why I ordered this compass. I ordered it for the unique look and for what it represents. As someone who is going on the overseas mission field in the future...this is a perfect reminder always to be willing to go wherever God wants me to go to serve Him!!! So, it's the sentiment behind what is written that matters, and the compass pointing to "Lord" as true North is just beautiful!! This would be a nice treasure for anyone to own...and would make especially great gifts for graduates, ministers, or missionaries...truly a unique and treasured gift for any believer in Christ!!!

This compass comes in a very nice wood box beautifully finished inside and out! Makes an awesome first impression making you want to open it and see whats inside. The compass inside looks antique and old, with very interesting and nicely done engraving on the back.Overall, this compass feels like a very old chain watch my grandfather used to have, it was over a hundred years old and made in Prussia. Holding this chain compass brings out those distant memories from my childhood. I think it's a great idea, very well executed and can be given as a gift for so many occasions! It must be a 6 stars item in every way!

This is actually very impressive I actually decided to get this and give it to my husband for his birthday. He’s always been a collector of pocket knives and watches and ink pens and I thought that this would be unique and sure enough he opened it and loved it!I will say that it was wrapped very securely and had a bubble wrap around it to keep it protected so I was happy about that.I will say that if you want to send it to someone as a gift keep in mind that it’s not in a gift box or anything like that it does come in the wooden box that it shows but it’s going to be an Amazon package with a type of wrapping around it that secures it so it’s not in any sort of box like that. So with that said I highly recommend if you’re going to gift it to someone to wrap it yourself or put it in a gift bag or a box yourself or if you’re fine sending it as is that works too.It was so nice I opened it before I even gave it to him and my mouth was just agape. I personally was really surprised with the quality of the Compass along with the inscription on it and the box that it comes in.It is definitely a keepsake for any loved one or friend and I do highly recommend it. I’m not sure of what material it’s made of but I’m hoping that it’s something that will last for a very long time the price is also really good for this as well.If you’re looking for a unique and meaningful gift for a man or anyone who likes compasses.
