Excellent stress and tension relief
This product deserves every 5 star of my rating. I suffer from chronic neuropathic pain and I get alot of tension and pain in my shoulders. The heat and relaxing lavender scent I have found really beneficial. The heat melts away the knotty tension in my shoulders and the lavender scent helps with relaxation. It feels a bit heavy to begin with when u place it upon your shoulders but sits nicely and doesn't move once you have it across your shoulders. It's really well made and full of wheat and excellently designed. It's so simple to use you just heat in the microwave. Full instructions are included. I would definitely recommend this for stress and tension relief. I don't know how I managed without it.

"So Good....Our Dog Ate It"!
Delivery:Heat Pad was ordered & delivered within fivedays,so no problem there, good service all round.Description:As you can see, this heat pad is in the shape of a lettern(or an u,if you like),this is because it is designed tosit comfortably on the shoulders. Before I go on,I willmention that the Item Weight is:1.2 Kg,so "some" may findit heavy,at first/to use.The pad itself is made from a very smooth fleece materialwhich is soft on the skin. This item comes impregnated with lavender, which seems tohelp with the healing/soothing process,& it smells nice.In-Use:First thing first...does it work?...short answer(for usanyway)is YES,I`ve got a trapped nerve & this item haseased the pain when I have used it.Simply heat pad for recommended amount of time(thisis in the instructions),& then place around your neck. The heat & the lavender have a soothing/healing effectthat I did not fully expect to work to such a degree. When I was using this(I`ll explain in a sec why thisis pre-tense)I did use it on naked skin, then I`d puta comfortable top on to hold in place(this is not nece-ssary though).I would use it for about 20mins,it was atthis point for me that the effect would last till. Now onto the reason that we do NOT have this pad any more(but have re-ordered another one)if you check out my pro-file photo you`ll see the reason,a 44kg Rhodesian Ridgeback, yeah he took a liking to it one day & erm...ate it(don`t laugh)! Conclusion:If like me you have an neck, back or shoulder problem, thenthis could/should well & truly help ease your pains.A word of caution,I have seen some post on the net aboutthese sort of heat pads catching fire when put in a mircowave,if you stick to the recommended user guide, this should nothappen(I would NOT heat-up longer than stated in guide),butplease be careful, thank you for your time,& good luck.Five Stars,Recommended.

Okay – wish it got a bit hotter
This is well made but it doesn't really get hot enough in the recommended 2 mins to do an awful lot of good and I don't want to risk burning the wheat. It smells lovely, though, and is certainly relaxing, if not overly therapeutic. I'm looking forward to trying it while I read in bed.I do wish someone would make one of these with a much longer piece at the back that would reach that Bermuda triangle of stiffness between the shoulder blades and the middle of the upper back – now that would be bliss.... For now, it looks like I'll just have to keep lying on a hot water bottle.

Works - but its heavy and smells.... odd.
I don't know whether it's work stress or I think I look better with my shoulders around my ear lobes but I always find at the end of the day my shoulders feel tense so thought this would help. When you warm it up it's nice and warm, covers the whole of your shoulder and hangs down (big enough for even the largest of necks). Only problem is it's heavy, very heavy and when it comes out of the microwave it doesn't smell of lavender as much as it should. Still feels nice and warming on your shoulders.Any questions just comment on the review.John

Comforting warmth for upper back & neck
I believe I have Thoracic outlet syndrome and upper back pain, Im seeing an Osteo in February, but doing what I can for now, and this product is helping to some extent with that, Im sat now with this heat pad on my neck, it is very good, it covers my upper back & collar bone, the warmth helps loosen the muscles, the lavender scent is not too much at all. Because of its shape you can just let it sit, your not forever adjusting it. It stays warm for a good length of time. it is well filled,so the filling does not need moving about much.

Five years of use for pain relief and still going strong
(Edit, December 2022… It is STILL going strong). I bought this back in 2015 and after five years of use—sometimes on a daily basis, and heating it a few times during the day—I decided that maybe a review was overdue! I have a chronic neck and shoulder problem and this gives me significant pain relief, easing the muscles. It’s obviously very well made and still going very strong! I like the shape, too. I sometimes twist it so it raises up around my neck. I’d definitely recommend it.

very comfortable round the neck
Unlike the long straight type of wheat pillows this fits comfortably round the neck so you are not having to keep hold of it every time you move plus the wheat does not all end upgathering in the 2 ends with nothing in the middle of the pillow where it is most needed. As other reviewers have said 2 minutes in the microwave is not enough to heat the pillow up properly but I suppose thats down to power rating of the microwave. The only fault I have with the pillow is you can't remove the cover to wash it so I suppose I will have to track down a cover for it otherwise I am very happy with it.

This neck & shoulder heat pad is very bulky and heavy
Having very painful arthritis in the spine/neck and of slight build I found the heat pad very heavy and bulky. After using it once I was left with deep muscle pain across my shoulders which took 3 days to calm down. The lavender oil was very pleasant but I think the heat pad needs to be lighter in weight.
