No, there's no discard tray included. It's only different from two packs of cards in that the cards have their values printed on them and canasta rules are included.

Why are "54" cards stated in the info? surely it should be 110+ & are the cards definitely cardboard? Thanks.

The canasta boxed set I have from Gibsons is made of cardboard there are 104 cards +2 spare jokers their statement of 54 is, therefore, correct as two packs of cards make one canasta set. hope this helps we have been using these cards since 2018 I would definitely recommend.
