I purchased four of these Solar Security Camera Outdoor, 2K Bestsee 360° View PTZ 2.4G Wireless Cameras.During the setup process, one of the cameras got bricked while updating the firmware. Within 3 days the company sent me a replacement - so that is a big plus.I now have had these cameras set up for 6 months. I have one camera watching the front porch, one camera watching the driveway and front yard, one camera watching the side of the house that has a door, and the last camera watching the backyard.I only have the front porch camera send me an alert (the start of an air raid siren that lasts for 2 seconds). I do this mainly so I know when we receive a package. These days we are doing much of our shopping online, including for groceries. The delivery people do not always ring the doorbell, so we rely on the camera for our delivery notifications.The cameras have decent video quality both during the day and at night. Better video than what I have seen used on the nightly news when someone records a crime being committed on their property using a 1K camera.You can connect to the camera with multiple devices. But keep in mind, if you want to connect with your phone and your computer, you either have to use a different email account for your mobile device and your computer, or you need to disconnect one device in order to connect to the other device.If you are using different devices with different email accounts, then they can all connect to the cameras at the same time.There is only a mobile app available for this device, so if you want to view your camera's from your laptop or home computer, then you need to use a mobile device emulator, such as the android emulator Bluestacks.You can not use this camera with other camera control software such as Blue Iris because Bestsee uses proprietary communication software with their cameras because of licensing issues (at least that is what their support told me).Today I thought one of the cameras had died, it would no longer power on. After using a paperclip to press the reset button, it is back in business.With the front camera, when the sun starts to go below the roof line of the house, the camera annoyingly gives false movement alerts for about 10 minutes.The wifi radios in these devices are not very powerful. With the front camera, I had to buy a wifi extender that I put in the garage. Although my phone gets an excellent signal where the camera is mounted, I can not communicate with the camera without the wifi extender.Also, I tested the camera on battery power (disconnected from the solar panel). I got about 3 months of usage before it hit 20% battery remaining. But with a solar panel connected, it is essentially at 100% power all the time, unless snow covers the panel for a while, but the battery lasts a long time. That is less time than the company claims, but still plenty long enough.Also, keep in mind that this camera only records when sensing movement. It can record in 10 or 20 second increments. You can set it to start recording immediately again after the 10-20 seconds have passed, or you can set up a delay.When you are viewing the camera live, it will not record unless you press the record button. In that case, in will record as long as you are viewing the image. When recording in this fashion, the image is stored on your mobile device, not the camera. I have a 128GB card on the cameras. In 6 months, I have used maybe 5%-8% of the storage space. It also holds 1 week's worth of data on the cloud storage. You can get up to 30 days if you pay extra, but I don't see a reason to pay extra.Overall I am very pleased with this camera. Plus, now it is even $20 cheaper than I paid for them (bummer).

The quality of this camera is really good. I have it monitoring a chicken run 120+ feet away from the router and signal works well. I really like the flashing light feature when an alarm is triggered, but it is either all-or-nothing. It would be nice to be able to set when the alarm feature works because flashing lights and recording videos during the day for my particular use isn't necessarily helpful. At night-time being able to have it run is very helpful to keep predators away. It seems battery life could be extended if the app allowed programing of scheduled times when alarms would be active.Packing is really well done and I like the inclusion of the mounting templates for predrilling. The hardware of the product is great for the price. The lack of certain options in the app is the only thing I dock a star for. Otherwise, this would be a 5 star product for sure!

The camera is well packaged. The package includes camera, solar panel and other accessories.1. Setup: It is very easy to setup. Scan barcode on the instruction sheet, download a APP, and follow the instruction shown on the APP, take only less than 1 minute to connect the camera to cell phone. Use only 2.5 G WIFI.2. The camara has a slot for micro SD card, but no card with camera.3. WIFI distance: Tested in my font far corner (near curb) and back side near fence. The APP shows medium WIFI strength, and the camera works very well, no connection issue at both locations.4. Motion detection: It detects motion and record 10s video clip and send a notification to cell phone (the notification can be disable using APP setup option). Or manual record video or picture by click on the screen.5. Remote control: the camera head can be adjusted to left, right, up or down remotely by the APP.6. Video/picture quality: the video/picture shows color during daytime and black/white during night or in dark. The quality of Video/picture is excellent.7. Two ways speaker: the quality of voice is also clear and loud.8. Solar panel: it is good enough to charge the camera. Even put inside glass window, it still charges to 100%.9. Others: there is a built-in white light, which can turn on/off manually. The company offers one year warrantee. Both instruction and APP do not mention how to use Cloud.10. This is good camera, exceed my expectation, but just tested for one week, have not tested how well it can handle during very hot and very cold weather.

I had bought 2 of these cameras about 2 weeks apart. The first one came with what sounded like a screw rattling on the inside of the housing. There is not a way to open it up to get the screw out, so I thought about it returning it, but decided to try the camera anyway. Later on I also noticed that the black plastic cover on the front of the camera had some fine cracks in multiple places. This, too, was a bit disconcerting. Despite these issues, the camera works fine. It has good strong wifi signal even 150 ft from my router, and the motion detection works about 98% of the time which is good enough for what i need it for.So, I decided to get a second camera from the same seller, Bestsee, thinking that the next one will most likely be flawless. I opened the box and noticed that the plastic case the camera sits in was cracked, even though the box did not show any damage on the outside. What do they do with these cameras? Throw them in there as hard as they can? Play soccer with them? After installing the camera I noticed that the image was blurry in a good portion of the bottom left hand side, even though the physical lens on the camera was clear of any debris, and the first camera did not have this issue. Then I tested the motion detection of it on all 3 settings, low, medium and high. Nothing. I walked past it, stood in front of it, jumped up and down, it's as if I didn't exist. Then 30 minutes later I walked past it again and it finally decided to pick me up. Sometimes, but not always. Then, later that day I started getting "Live stream timeout" and "Connecting" errors, while at the same time my first camera's live feed loaded up within a matter of seconds. The quality control of this product from this seller is absolutely horrendous. I have already taken down the camera and I'm sending it back next chance I get.

It feels like it has all the features a camera should have.I tried with a Samsung SD card of 64 GB. It was very intuitive to set the app. The app didn't crash. The camera was very responsive. I didn't try the solar charger yet since I could charge it with a micro USB, but the solar panel looks wonderful. I am sure it does a great job. I tried the 2-way communication, and it worked well. The optional flashlights option are very strong. The camera feels quite slim and high quality. I have used it for a week, so far, so good.
