Beautifully illustrated book about a boy with a great imagination. We get to see his imagination come to life on each page as seemingly mundane experiences take on a whole new meaning.I read as a helper with 7 year olds of varying degrees of reading ability, each child enjoyed this book. They liked spotting the odd quirky happenings within the boy's imagination. The illustrations are very intricate, detailed and colourful.I liked that this book acknowledged that concentrating in class can be difficult for children but that imagination can be a positive creative force if used in the right way.

My 5 year old loves this book.It's a delight to read and the illustrations are incredible.

Stunning, explosive, dream-like pictures do the talking and whilst the story is inspiring in itself, we think the illustrations will grab the attention of even the most cynical of young readers. ​It follows the story of a little boy who daydreams, asks questions and imagines. At first his thoughts get criticised but, eventually in art class, he can let his dreams come to life. A healthy, important message about letting children dream and be happy. The perfect accompaniment to this month's Imagination theme!

A simple case of 'does what it says on the tin'. 'The Wonder' is beautiful. Attention to detail is astounding, and the story is simple and elegant. This is obviously a work of love, and it shines off every page to warm the cockles of the reader. Would recommend in a heartbeat. One to spend a rainy afternoon or quiet bedtime poring over, snuggled with wee (or not so wee) ones.

Loved this book!! It’s recommended as part of a ‘must read before 5 years old ..100 books’ So I bought as part of a core reading list for my students this year, I love the illustrations and the imagination aspect of it!

I have just given this book to my 7 year old granddaughter for Christmas and she loves it. It's wonderfully illustrated .They had actually been studying with this book at school , as it's all about imagination.

The illustrations take your breath away and transport kids and grown ups into a magical journey. It reminds us to re-ignite our imagination.

Good story can't complain but the quality of the book isnt great and ripped after a few page turns

I bought this book for my son for Christmas. It's his absolute favourite book & asks for it every night. He's mesmerized by the beautiful illustrations & I love the message. A favourite that will be passed down through the generations for sure!

Used this book in assemblies with 2nd - 6th graders. The illustrations are appealing & the message about being curious and asking questions is an important one. Also used the book to prompt brainstorming about how they can find answers to their questions & who can they go to for support.

Beautiful pictures and message. LOVE this book. My 3 year old and I can spend 5 minutes on just one page checking out the cool illustrations.
