Immediately became my go-to string
Such a great feeling to pick up the guitar and know that every time it will sound great and in tune... there is something magic about these strings for sure, yes they are expensive compared to your usual Martins etc but they are in a completely different league

Impressed with how not squeaky these strings are
Having bought other flat wound strings that really let me down, I was looking for a mellow sounding string that didn’t squeak. These fit the bill, and sound great straight from the pack. No odd twangy brightness, really smooth

Believe the hype
Spending £14 on strings is pretty ridiculous but these really do sound fantastic. I was a little frustrated with the lack of bass and warmth on my acoustic and a friend recommended these - it's like a whole new guitar. 10/10

Easy to play on
After 12 years, it was time to replace my guitar's D'Addario EXP16 strings (NY Steel Phosphor Bronze12-53 Coated, Light - so very similar to these Elixir 12-53). I rarely play the guitar, and noticed what may have been mild rust on the D'Addarios. Here's my honest review as a very amateur player. Pros + Strings are much easier to play than the D'Addarios, more forgiving + High tone strings are not as razor sharp on the fingers as were the D'Addarios, huge win for me as an amateur player + Overall good balanced sound, but definitely not as "warm" as the D'Addarios Cons - The lower E string is not as loud nor as deep as the D'Addarios (which really surprised me) and sadly I do prefer the D'Addarios for this note - The lower strings seem to produce significantly more fret buzz that the D'Addarios, maybe it's my technique, so don't take my word for it Overall, whilst easier to play, and producing a good balanced sound, I somehow miss the more dynamic and deep D'Addarios. I guess I'll just have to wait 12 years to revert to them.

Elixir Strings
I remember when I started playing acoustic guitar everyone told me to buy Ernie Ball, D'addario, etc but since I've moved to these Elixir strings my whole playing world has changed, these strings are brilliant. And I'm not getting paid to say this (maybe I should) .They actually make me play better, but hey I don't care what you do really I'm just saying for me they're great.

Let's see if they live up to the hype
Easy to fit. Bright tone. Time will tell what effect the poly coating has on the fingers and the sound. Looking forward to finding out.

Excellent!
Best strings available - they last twice as long and feel smoother under the finger tips. I find I can play the guitar for much longer using these before I have to quite due to fingertip pain!

Good strings- nice warm sound
Good strings ... nice warm sound for acoustic guitar - especially with spruce top. Coating reduces finger on string noise when recording

Recomendado
