Cole & Mason Flip 180 Chrome Salt and Pepper Mill Set, Adjustable Coarseness, Ceramic Mechanism, Acrylic, 154 mm, Filled Salt and Pepper Grinders

So pleased with these! I had glass ones with lids, but they kept getting dropped/smashed and the lids were inconvenient (the mills were inverted, so lids were unnecessary). These are much more durable, they look great, work well (you get a good amount with one crank) and there are no lids to contend with! Wish I'd discovered them sooner!

Bought this from Amazon (not an Amazon seller), arrived in good time and condition and was fantastic value.Looks very attractive & is practical due to the inverted design, and as others have said, leaves no mess when stored in the cupboard but would not suggest leaving it out for long periods of time in case of dust collection.Having said that it is easy to clean & easy to refill by pulling out the rubber stopper, which fits snugly back in again.I have not experienced any problems so would highly recommend this set.Update 2017: Both mills are still in great working order. Both mechanisms are ceramic, the C&M website advises against submerging them in water to clean and to keep the mechanism dry or air dry before use (use a damp cloth to wipe only). This year I did have difficulty with the pepper mill (stopped grinding) so decided to check here in case there were any tips in the reviews but instead found information elsewhere which helped. The peppercorn mill stopped grinding but it appeared to be due to a build up of residues from grinding peppercorns. I took some advise to use rock salt (another suggestion was uncooked rice) and grind it through to clean the mechanism and this worked great. Back to a perfect set!I wonder if the 'quality' of peppercorn/ salt makes a difference to how long the mills last (after seeing so many reviews recently which say they are not well built - these had great 5* reviews back when I bought them!) such as size of peppercorns & rock salt, and how firm they are or how well they keep.

Bought these to replace a pair of old Cole &Mason salt and pepper grinders that had finally wore out. These are brilliant love the way they grind from the top so no longer need to keep them in a dish to keep the worktop clean. Easy to use and clean.

The grinders look really nice and are very easy to use and refill. I was really pleased with them until the pepper grinder just shattered when I gave it a turn. I expected more than 6 months use from a Cole & Mason product.

This is my 2nd purchase. Dropped pepper on floor and it broke so bought new set. Old set about 8+ years old. Sooo good

I bought this set about 2 years ago. One broke about 6 months after, and I replacet it. While its a very good salt and pepper mill, the mechanism breaks after a while. I kept them and forgot to return them back, as they promise a life time garentee . It's over two years I called customer service Cole and Mason. The lady was lovely and asked me to email them with the problem and take photos of them. I didn't even need to send the old ones back. Two weeks latter they sent me two sets !!! I have never had such good service and less hassle regarding a return.I would definitely buy Cole and Mason again.

We had a set of these for about 5 years and they finally wore out! We were happy to find another set on Amazon! These are unique in that they do not "leak" salt and pepper on the counter or table. The grinders have to be turned upside down to use then right side up again when done. The beauty is that residual spices sit on the "top" of the shaker, unlike other shakers that grind out the bottom and then residual ground spices spill out on the surface they are placed on.

These are my absolute favorite salt and pepper mills, and it's a shame they're discontinued here. I purchased a set about 10, maybe 15 years back, and they were going strong until the mechanism spring rusted. I sent them in for service and was told they can't repair them *cough cough lies* and they sent me a new set of okay ones that now live in my parent's kitchen, since I bought these off the UK Amazon.Long story short, Cole and Mason make fantastic mills and stand behind them. The upside down construction makes sure there's no mess on the table, and the design looks nice no matter the style of your house.10/10, wish they'd bring these back.

Der Salz- und Pfefferstreuer sind sehr dekorativ und handlich. Hab lange nach diesen gesucht.

Tanto el diseño como la calidad del material y de la molienda, por fin encontré un modelo que funcione! Y es práctico, al no tener la piedra de moler hacia abajo, no ensucia todo cada vez que lo dejas en la mesa.

Cole & Mason is a good value. You can't go wrong with this brand. I'm very satisfied with this product.
