I love Mac's and have fore decades. But their restriction on the number of external (non-mirrored) monitors is stupid. This product is a life saver. I podcast at home and now I can have one screen for show notes, one for Zoom and my MacBook Air M2 screen for imdb and other needs. The install was easy. You download the drivers, install the one for your OS and you are good to go. Install time took me 2 min. tops. Well worth the money!

MacBook Air M2 only supports one external monitor natively. This adapter - after necessary software installation, mind you, this is not plug-n-play à la Windows - enables the same model to have two external monitors (as extended, not mirroring, although the latter is an option)It works flawlessly. Buying this MacBook model and this adapter is still cheaper than buying a MacBook model that natively supports multiple external monitors (as of 7/2024).

I had ordered a Plugable unit that required an alternative driver install. This Startech unit with the DisplayLink Manager Driver has worked flawlessly unlike the Plugable unit which constantly disconnected the displays and caused havoc while am working.

I couldn’t figure out why my MacBook Air wouldn’t connect to my new second monitor. It turns out that the new MacBook Air only supports connecting to one monitor UNLESS you have an external hard drive like this!I was hesitant to spend much money on this, but I’m so glad I did. I’m not super tech savvy, and this made hooking up to my external monitors so easy. The instruction booklet is also great and easy to understand, which is rare.

This works well with my MacBook Air M2, 2022 with Sonoma 14.2.1 to connect with my 2 Lenovo monitors.

I got this as it promised to make a macbook air work with two external monitors, it doesn't. Well, it sort of does - but the second monitor flickers about once a minute and adds and removes itself as a display constantly - so much that no work can actually be done. Other than that, this is a very overly expensive HDMI adapter with 1 USBC port. Does not deliver on what was promised.

I have the latest Macbook Air 15in w/M2 chip and was disappointed to hear it did not natively support dual monitors. With this adapter I now have 3, if you count the Macbook screen as well. It's pricey but it works perfectly. Don't forget to follow the in product packaging instructions, Mac users will need to download the driver first.

I've been using this product for about an hour now and can confirm that it works well and works with my Mac (M1). I had to install DisplayLink for this product to work which was not an issue in the slightest. This product is very convenient for someone who needs more than one external monitor.The one drawback that I found since I've been using it is that the screens seem very laggy or slow. I am not too sure if it is a frame rate slowdown or if the hertz are slow, but it is definitely slower than when I was using the single external monitor.Other than that I am very happy with the product and would recommend to anyone else who is looking to have multiple external monitors and need a docking station to support it.

- Only allows 4k, you cannot use lower resolution like 3200x1800 or 2560x1440. only 4k or 1080 which is bad- The device itself is unreasonably expensive

Provato unicamente in ambiente Windows e posso confermare che e' una periferica Plug&Play. Connessi due monitor esterni ad un notebook ed e' possibile avere una visione estesa su tre schermi senza ulteriori passaggi. Forse qualcuno lo ritiene un po' costoso ma sicuramente c'e' un valore dietro ai soldi spesi.

Bytte ut en befintlig USBC adapter från UGreen som bara funkade sämre och sämre. (Den blev väldigt varm också).. till slut pajade den och köpte denna istället. Vilket lyft. Inte så varm. Dubbla uttag för HDMI och 4k stöd.Allt bara funkar.Jag har inte provat att köra musen via den ännu men kör tangentbordet och det funkar kanon.Önska jag köpt denna först.
