Birthday present from my son. Beautifully made window box. Well packaged and speedy delivery. Was surprised at how big it was, will easily hold three decent sized herb pots (or four smaller pots). Liked that it came with slate markers and chalk. Have yet to use but it will look lovely on the window sill and good talking point. Came with instructions for looking after along with further details of other products in the range. Do not be put off by the price as it is well worth the money, after all you get what you pay for.

We often buy pots of herbs from the supermarket, but I wanted something a little more stylish to stand these in and to make watering easier. I took a long time looking at all sorts of planters and pots and finally decided on this, as it fits nicely with our kitchen and slate coloured work surfaces.I was absolutely delighted with it - it arrived quickly and was extremely well packaged (bubble wrap and sturdy box with "Fragile" tape). The wood had been oiled and the box comes complete with three slate plant name labels and a piece of chalk. The seller includes a personal letter to thank you for your purchase and details of how to care for the item.I am looking forward to filling my window box with herbs and enjoying it for many years to come.

I have never gotten more excited about an amazon order! I have three of these wonderful planters, that fit perfectly on my windowsill!They have helped to organise my various herbs and chilli plants.They are well constructed and I love the rustic aesthetic to them! I could get a few more ... they would fit. :pThey’re beautiful, useful and I love them!

Great, solid quality product. It'd make a good gift, it's very pleasing to hold, chunky and solid with no wobbly bits anywhere. Looks great too; the wood's solid but neat, and the slate's got a nice natural texture on it, I was worried it was going to be polished flat until it might as well be plastic. Not so.The included drip tray seems to be of a good quality too, and the whole thing's bolted neatly together with two bolts that are sturdy but discreet. It's just big enough for three medium sized plant pots. I've got some parsley and basil in mine, three pots that I got from Tesco and they fit perfectly. It'd probably fit smaller windows pretty well, mine are wider so I'll just have to get a couple more.

Slate it appears can be easily damaged so be very careful. Not quite what I was anticipating to find in the pages of the product information. It looks OK to be fair. It is a little too wide for my window but I can accommodate that I just have the thought in my head that I have paid a lot of money for something that may not stand up to a level of accidental, fingers and thumbs, force that would not be a problem if made of other materials. You pays your money, you takes your chances. I maybe should have done a bit more investigating before making my decision. It may well last me my whole life, just be careful.
