Silicone Tubing - 10 Foot Piece (High Temp Hose - 500F) (1/2" I.D. x 5/8" O.D. x 10 Foot)

Q: What is the wall thickness on this tubing? Will it collapse at temp under a slight vacuum?

I tried to use it as milk cow vacuum tubing under 15 lbs of pressure and it collapsed right away. This is very soft tubing.

Q: Is this hose very flexible, as in when you pick it up it goes limp? does it "give" such that i could insert a coupling made for 1/2" diameter tubing?

The tubing is very flexible and I would bet that it would stretch over a 1/2 inch fitting.

Q: Can this tubing sustain 480 degrees constantly and not leak harmful materials into food product?

The ad claims 500 degrees F. 480 degrees would be a little too close to that for me for something as critical as food.

Q: What is the O.D. of this product? The listing shows the I.D. as 5/8" Does it mean that the O.D. is 5/8"?

The 1/2" ID x 5/8" iD product is actually 5/8" OD. Most of the other answers came form people who didn't even look at what you were talking about. This tubing is thin walled and will kink quite a bit. I could not use it. I recommend 1/2" x 3/4" OD tubing.
