Should be a good buy now that problems have been sorted out.
Perhaps I've just not been lucky with these umbrellas but of the two I bought recently, one was faulty and I had to apply to Amazon for a refund. The very first time it was opened, it just stayed open and nothing we could do would make it close. It had to be destroyed as it would've been impossible to return.I probably wouldn't have written this review but this was the second time one of this make has let me down in a similar way. I'd bought two a year or so ago and recently, one of them (the one least used) jammed in the extended position but at least with the cover down - it was no use though after that. These two new ones were to replace that broken one with another as a spare and I AM pleased with the one that's alright but am also left wondering how long for. I think some attention should be paid to the operating mechanism by the maker.Update - 27/9/19I had a very nice communication from the makers recently, since the comment that can be seen below, which explains that the problems with this umbrella have now been sorted out, offering me a replacement or refund. I didn't take them up on the refund, because Amazon had kindly refunded me anyway but I was grateful for the contact because it shows they care about customer satisfaction and that is worth a lot. I have also raised the rating from 3 to 4 stars.

Not Bad
Used this for the first time in the wind & rain this week, for the 5 minute walk from the bus stop to home. I will say that while the stiff breeze blew it out three times, during the journey, it easily blew back the other way. It is probably par for the course, with umbrella's & winds. I have serious reservations, when manufacturers state that their product is good in 60mph (and above), winds. Very much taken with a pinch of salt. Anyway, the opening/closing mechanism was firm & precise, it's not overly light, although people will have different views on the weight. Not a bad purchase, & hopefully it won't blow out too many times this Autumn.

Its umbrella
Handle quite small so people with big hands may find harder to hold comfortably

Robust umbrella
Seems like a well made product, kept water off, however on first time use got blown inside out, I thought it might have avoided this drama. It has lived to work another day, so testament to its build strength, other umbrellas I’ve had don’t survive this level of force. Fingers crossed for many years of use.

Not as per written description.
The product is OK. But the seller’s description is misleading and unsatisfactory. The item will NOT fit any pocket. It was purchased to fit in an inside topcoat pocket (“any pocket”). It cannot. Thanks Amazon for accepting it for a return.

Sturdy and compact, a little heavier than usual small brolly.
It will be stronger in winds than usual compact brolly, hence it is slightly heavier.

strong & windproof
Having just lost two lightweight umbrellas to fairly light winds I decided to purchase a more substantial item. This umbrella certainly seems to be substantial and well made but I have not yet had the oportunity to test it in wind and rain

Would recommend
I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, supposedly wind proof, after just one use in a blustery shower, it blew inside out and snapped two of the ribs. As an update on my previous review and emailing the manufacturer, the original umbrella had faulty parts. They replaced the umbrella free of charge and this one is much better, it has inverted several times without breaking. That’s why I’ve increased this review to 5 stars
