As always, you get what you pay for and in this case, it’s a super little cover. Ever so slightly oversized for our 3m/118” pool but unless there’s more than a stiff breeze, it’ll be fine. I’ll edit this review if I remember to confirm whether it aids in heating, but as it’s so dark I can imagine it will, on warmer days.Thicker than a cotton sheet, thinner than the pool sides but to put it in place the thickness made it reasonably easy for one person with a stiff back in shoes that could’ve been more sensible to wear for such a task (£2.99 supermarket flip flops with the addition of morning dew on grass is never going to end well)The inbuilt cord could do with being elastic as tightening it isn’t terribly practical, and equally, if the cord exit & entrance was on a corner rather than one of the long sides, that would make for an easier life, but hey, no one can hear me grunting from here. Perhaps the makers are in cahoots with the bungee rope company to make you buy one - bit like the makers of hot dog sausages and hot dog buns - you never get the same amount do you?Now it’s on it reminds me of a rubber fitted sheet of that helps with the visuals. No, not those visuals.I’d buy it again and it’s worth it for the reduction in pool skimming/lost wildlife to drowning. Let’s see what the cats make of it though. Oh crikey, I’d not thought of that 😳

I bought the pool but did not think about the cover until I came out in the morning to find a mass of flies using it.The cover is great and saves all of the hassle of having to skim every morning. It also keeps some warmth in the water too and the fit is perfect.It was definitely what was needed and I am so glad I spent the extra.

This is a good quality cover, and protected our pool for around 4 months over the summer with no real problems. I'm knocking one star off because it is a faff to fit, and doesn't 'hug' the pool as much as it appear to in the pictures - it's actually not 'rubbery' as the images suggested to me, but more like a thick tarp, so did collect rainwater and need to be tipped off now and then. It also got a bit loose if left on for a few days (although that might be my knot skills, or lack thereof!), which means you do have to check it daily to make sure wind isn't going to get underneath it and tug at it, but it did the job and I would recommend it for frame pools. I don't think it'd be very good for inflatable pools though, as it really needs to be secured quite firmly - we tied it to the poles of our frame pool which was fine, but because of the loose fit, I'm not sure even tent pegs for a pool on grass would hold it securely.

Brilliant idea to keep bugs n leaves out of pool ...My paddle pool 3m long but the cover well covered over it with room to spare and there are drawstrings to tighten for a snug fit ...ten out of ten

Absolutely delighted with this purchase.. Must admit looking at the picture I thought I had bought the wrong (recommended) cover for the pool but turned out a lot better than expected.. A little bigger than the pool so no pulling and stretching into place, reducing the risk of rips and stitching tears. No air holes to let any debris in. Best part it became a heat conductor from the morning sun keeping the water from going freezing cold overnight. So just a little top up from the hot water tap and the kids spent another whole day in it. Made from a great thick quality material. Highly recommended.

I bought this to help keep my pool clean, best of a bad bunch I think though. As the other reviews say it’s too heavy to sit nicely over the pool so it either has to sit on the water or use bricks to hold the corners, but it still pulls the bricks in which isn’t helpful. It didn’t help there are no instructions on how to thread the rope through and how best to tie it down but the rope does pull tight all the way round. It also looks like the seams will tear if not handled carefully which doesn’t help when you’re trying to put the cover on by yourself, or if it’s hot. It also doesn’t keep the pool warm but the cover does get hot in the sun and a bit flimsy. It looks like it could withstand a storm and rain if it’s tied down well, you just need to find what suits you.

I purchased this to go over a Chad Valley inflatable pool and it fits great.The issue with mine is that it fits so well that it seals the pool to the point it gets very hot under the cover. It will heat the top part of the pool so make sure to stir the water every now and then, but it will also cause your pool to get soft like a melting effect. Every time I looked inside my glasses would Steam up, it gets that hot between the water and the cover.I am now thinking to get a sturdier pool, non inflatable one to go with this.
